We are a family of 4 both kids under 6 and went for our Laredo. Don't regret it one bit.

RE: 5R110 Torqshift behind a 7.3L?

Why not just put in an Allison trany. there is an app for that.
Because you would be way better off with the 5R110 trans.

RE: Laredo TT #303TG

We love our 303. In all fairness we have only owned it for a few months but. No issues and it's a great layout for our family.

RE: Ford F-350 6.7L Dually 4x4 or Chevy 3500 LTZ 6.6 L

I am one of the lucky ones who gets to own a few different diesels at the same time. Currently I have an 2011 ford f350 drw and a 2011 gmc 2500.
There are personal pro's and cons for both truck. But we will stick with the positives
Ford has a nice roomy cab. Good storage under the seats, 4 cup holders in the front (if you get the center console), transmission shift points and feel are spot on. Hp is great for towing. Suspension feels much more capable
Gmc
Smooth ride, good power , the dash and compartment is all with in arms reach, engine compartment actually has some elbow room.
Here is the honestly when it comes time to hook up to the trailer. I look for my ford keys.
You look for the Ford keys because it's a 3500 DRW vs. a 2500 with only one set back there. Has little to do with brand I think.
Mav
I look for my Ford keys because of a few reasons performance being the biggest of them all.

RE: First Trip with New Trailer (pics)

Very cool we were right down the road from you at Collins Lake. This was our second trip out with our Laredo.
On a side note what did you think of Lake of the Springs?

RE: Ford F-350 6.7L Dually 4x4 or Chevy 3500 LTZ 6.6 L

If you are ex-military, I would go with the Chevy with D/A. The Allison tranny in the Chevy is the same as the military uses in the newer Sherman tanks. IF it is good enough for the Army, it is good enough for me.
This cracks me up. Gm was a marketing genius using an "Allison" trans. The allison in the light duty gm pick ups are not the same used in the military and medium/heavy duty trucks.

New trailer = Satellite help

Ok bought a winnguard carryout connected it to the sat/cable connection on the outside of the trailer. no signal inside the trailer
I have a Laredo 303 it has a front swivel tv and a rear tv for the rear bunk. The front tv has one coax coming from the floor directly into the tv. No junction box like our motor home.
The rear bunkhouse tv has a antenna booster connection and a separate unlabeled plate that has 2 coax plugs in it and a coax cable going from the top connector to the bottom. I'm guessing I need to do something here to switch from antenna to sat but what?
I was planning on having the sat box at the front tv is this still possible?

RE: Storage

Sorry I'm not any help with your question. But I'm curious what storage rates go for in Texas?
I pay 200 a month however it's indoor storage. They wash the trailer, dump the tanks and fill water and propane when ever I request it.

RE: Our Tow Vehicle Dilemma...

Wow. I say you and your wife buy your own truck and let the others worry about it.
You could even rent out the truck to your sister and make a return on it. ; )

RE: Brought our New trailer home today

Thanks guys. Yeah couple things led to the sag. The truck was sitting on a little incline. Also The dealer hooked up the rig and did not put enough tension on the bars. On the flip side the Laredo 303 has a tongue weight of 700lbs plus.
