RE: Is a GMC 3500 enough for a 18,500# Teton

I would not want to be pulling that Teton with my truck for any distance.

Check http://www.rvawningmats.com. They also have some pretty decent prices on mats.

The factory brakes are great. The one on my 2007 F350 King Ranch was also.

RE: Dually owners, need your opinions

After reading all the reviews, I don't think my truck qualifies to pull anything, especially now that it has nearly 75,000 miles.

RE: 6.0 powerstroke diesel?

I had absolutely no problems with my 2003 F350 King Ranch; my 2007 F350 King Ranch; I have over 70,000 trouble free miles on my 2008 F450 King Ranch. Just regular routine maintenance every 5000 miles as required.

RE: need opinions on type of truck to purchase

I don't know whats's wrong with Ford. I have 70,200 trouble free miles on mine. Its never been in the shop for anything but service, i.e., oil/filter; fuel filters; 60,000 miles the tranny was drained and flushed and new filters; power steering drained and flushed; differential was drained. The Continental tires (19.5s) have never been rotated and are about half worn (nitro filled). This has been the nicest truck I've ever owned. I've changed the oil every 5000 miles; the fuel filters every 10,000 miles.

RE: Which comes first: check switch or locating satellites?

You need to do a check switch first to clear the zone prior to setting up your tripod and getting the satellites. Do not save the prior settings. This will put everything at zero. After you get the satellites locked in you do a check switch again to lock in the new zones. This will show 110 and 119.

RE: How many miles on your truck??

54000 miles and going great. Not one problem. Tires look like they will go another 30000 miles.

Drain Valve Lubricant works also from the RV store. I think it has coconut oil in it.

I also have a 70 gallon Transfer Flow tank in the bed of my truck with the monitor on the dash. Works great.

RE: Diesel Re-gen for DPF question

I have 44000 trouble free miles on mine. I have found that the Cetane Power Boost really does improve the fuel mileage. I really can't say I've noticed the regen happening unless it happens while I'm stopped. This has been a great truck.
With this truck running as good as it does, I hate the thoughts of a reflash. The last oil change they did the venturi valve in the radiator. I've not had any leaks or radiator problems. Mine is a Job 1 6/07. I have found the navigation system dvd to be out of date and NavTech has no updates? I bought a Garmin Nuvi with the 09 updates.

RE: Keeping window trim white

At Dollar store they have spray stuff called "Awesome" for 1.00 a bottle. Spray this on those yellow spots and the yellow will actually run right off. I usually spray it on and scrub with a brush and soapy water. Keeps it clean for a period of time and then needs to be done again. Also around the yellow lite fixture above door and the electric outlet. Works great and cheap.
