Replacing the converter fixed the problem. Thanks to all who replied.

RE: No DC power when plugged in to AC.

If we unplug from AC, that must bypass the converter, so we get power from the batteries. Yes, it's an Inteli-power 9055 from 1996, and there are not switches on the unit that we can see. There are two fuses that my husband checked, and they look good. He's on his way to get a replacement 9160 - that the Inteli-Power people recommended. Let's hope that fixes it...

No DC power when plugged in to AC.

We lost DC power on our Bounder Class A motor home when we plug it in to 120 AC power. When unplugged, everything runs from the house batteries. When it's plugged in, there is no DC coming out. We checked the input voltage (120 AC) at the converter, and there is power going to it. On the side where there are white and red wires (we assume it's the output), there seems to be no DC voltage (should be about 13 VDC) when testing with a volt meter. Should we assume that the converter is shot? AC outlets and appliance (e.g. microwave) do work.
Thanks in advance

Quaint towns inland from

We're looking for somewhere close to the outer banks but inland and a QUAINT village where we can stay in a hotel and walk along a sidewalk to shops and restaurants (and maybe even a boardwalk along the water) in the evening or during the day. Any ideas of towns with hotels that might work with this?

RE: No MH this trip: quaint spots on Outer Banks

Does it require a ferry to get to Ocracoke Island?

No MH this trip: quaint spots on Outer Banks

Hi. We're looking at driving to the Outer Banks without our MH this time and are looking for a place on the Outer Banks that would be on the beach and yet have some interesting places around in walking distance. From what I see on Google Earth, it looks like everything is just a string of motels and that you'd just stay on the beach and have to drive to just about anything...
So, looking for suggestions for hotels or cottages/cabins with some restaurants or shops around... more of a village atmosphere... anywhere on the Outer Banks. Suggestions appreciated.

RE: Page Arizona for 2 days...

We loved Lake Powell, and we camped at the Wahweap campground, which was a treat in itself. The Dam is interesting to see. On your way to or from (if you're coming from the east...) you can drive through Monument Valley... Lots of options, and many good suggestions so far.
