Backing Up

Any good hints about backing up a fifth wheel. I had my 33' TT down to a science but this baby seems to give me a little problem.

ShakeDown Trip

Took the Augusta out this weekend for the shakedown trip and have a few wrinkles that I need a little advice on.
1. It was suggested that I have slideout awnings installed when I purchased the Augusta and I did. This weekend was windy and I felt as if the trailer was going to come apart and couldn't sleep.
2. Water pressure seemed a low. Maybe a valve isn't open fully?
Otherwise it was uneventful.

DeWinterize my Augusta

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does anyone have a step by step cheat sheet on de-winterizing and winterizing? I had TTs but this is a little different and I do not want to miss a step.
I have the double door SS ref. but I cannot find the shut off valve but I do have a call into Heartland. Dometic was not much help. Appparently my product on the fridge door is not correct and the ser # on my warranty doesn't match.
I want to get everything up and runnung before I pull out.

water filter

I have a Sears home filtering system I used on my TT but I was thinking about installing a filtering system on my 5er for under the kitchen sink. Have you done this and how easy of a job is it?

Gadgets for new 5er

Left my TT and now have a 5er. Just wondering what new gadgets and necessities I will need for the 5er. My first trip is the beginning of April so I want to get it all together soon. Some of the things I was thinking of are; leveling, bike rack, tripod for stabalizing hitch pin, water filter.

Diesel stops

I purcahsed a new 5er this past December and planning many trips this year and longer distance and time ones in 2010 when we are both retired. Are there any books or websites that give the diesel truck stops, Flying J's etc. to pull a big rig in for fuel?
I have a Travel 95 which is great going north south on the east coast, but once you go west, you need to keep watching the signs. i love to pre-plan my stops.

Basement storage and Bath

Going from my Mountaineer TT to the Augusta 5th wheel is a little different but now is the time to figure out where all my stuff will go. Also where & what can I hang in the bath? It is a lot samller than my last, that bath was the width of the trailer with closets and wall space. So I am looking for ideas in the bath and the basement. Any ideas and photos appreciated.

F-350 drift

The steering wheel lies at 8 & 2 o'clock if going straight and if I put the steering wheel @ 3 & 9 o'clock it drifts right. Ford told me that it drifts right because of the crown in the road and the size of the truck. I had a 1997 F-350 and I don't remember this problem. They did an alignment but I think the steering wheel needs to be aligned?
Any suggestions?

RE: F-350 Nav System

After many calls and conversations, my nav system will not produce a truck route. They are sorry that a nav system (option)installed in my F-350 commercial truck will not give me a truck/commercial route.
