RE: Need ideas on how to lay out my tt

Take the booth out and replace it with a couple of nice recliners and folding table. You can change the bed to a murphy bed if you have the room. Some high end MotorHomes have the murphy bed option and look really nice.
Good luck with the mods and dont forget the pictures!

RE: Need ideas on how to lay out my tt

I can understand taking out the dinette and freeing up space for a chair or small table or somehting, and maybe changing the bed into a twin-size bed or bunks, or using a cot or something, but do you just want more walking-around room or what? If it's only you using it, then it makes sense. But to me, it sounds like a lot of work.
More walk around room pretty much sums it up. The ol' lady and my two sons(10&5) fill up that little trailer. You have to shimmy around to get to the bathroom, lol. The bathroom is another problem. I sit on it and my knees touch the door!

RE: Need ideas on how to lay out my tt

"Sorry you boght a TT you don't like"
I got it in a trade. My other is a '03 32' Keystone Cougar fifth wheel. I like the smaller one cause I can put an atv in the bed of the truck :)

Need ideas on how to lay out my tt

I have a '96 22ft Idle time. I dont like the lay out at all. I hate the booth type eating table and the full size bed. Those two items take up all of the room. I want to take the table and bed out and build something different. Any one have any ideas, or pictures of some work you have done?

Old oven rebuild

My grandpa just bought a '60 something Mobile Scout. The oven was in bad shape. He took it out and all apart to clean it. The insulation in the walls of the oven were mixed with rat******so he pulled it all out and tossed it. Does anyone know what kind of insulation to put back in it?

RE: need ideas on mounting a ball on my tt

Might want to re-read the law. I'm pretty sure double towing is only allowed for Fifth Wheels in Oklahoma. Double trailers are not allowed.
Thanks

My info came from Captain Craig Medcalf #37 Troop S Commander from the Department of Public Safety. He said it was legal to pull a bumper pull tt and a boat at the same time. Even if the boat is longer than the tt. Nothing matters in Oklahoma besides being UNDER 70'.
I printed a copy of our email exchanges and I'm gonna keep it in my glove box, just in case. lol

RE: need ideas on mounting a ball on my tt

I kinda thought about that a little. The trailer is an old heavy 1994 Idle Time. It is only 19ft though. The Boat I want to pull is a 19ft pontoon. I can pick up the weight of the toon by hand, so It isn't too awful heavy(Note that my eyes almost pop out). If it turned out that it was too heavy, could I add some weight to the front of my tt?

need ideas on mounting a ball on my tt

I recently found out here in Oklahoma you can pull a bumper pull tt AND a boat at the same time. But the bumper on my tt is worthlessly thin. I believe it is just for cosmetics and storage for the sewer hose anyways. So now Im trying to figure out how to mount a receiver. Anyone have any pics of their setup?
