RE: Onan 4000W Generator question

The one in my MH if you push swicht to the stop either on the Generator or at the inside switch position and all is quiet you can hear it priming the generator.
Prime it then give start another try.

RE: Frog steering locked or unlocked?

I have been towing toads & off since 1984 and always with stearing unlocked. I think You should find out why Harbor Freight has put this warning on the tow bar.

RE: towing 2009 3500 dually behind class a motor home

I had a 2001 Silverado 3500 4X4 and it was towable but I used it to tow a 5th wheel trailer. If towable should be in the owners manual.

RE: Battery Question

Everything that I read keeps saying to charge your stored batteries at least every 30 days. I found a neat little battery maintainer that works well. I have two one for my single 12v auto battery and one for my two 12V RV batteries and it seems to work very well. Besides keeping the batteries charged it keeps them from freezing, my RV garage is not insulated and temps at night are can get in the low teens.
It is: Schumacher Battery Companion, fully automatic battery charger maintainer with float-mode monitoring. Ideal for maintaining stored batteries, model WM 1562, 6v or 12v. Less than $20 at Wal-Mart.

RE: flag on towed vehicle

Do you have a rear window in your MH? Do you have a inside rear view mirror? Can you see the rear window in the mirror?
If you have you could add a wide angle Fresnel lense, it sticks on the inside of the window.

RE: Long term stay in Cascade,Idaho?

We liked and have stayed at Water’s Edge RV Park in Cascade, don’t remember if they had boat launch, but there is a public boat launch at the Cascade Lake. I think they are closed now for the winter.

RE: Quartzsite park for short stay

We stayed at 88 Shades a few nights, try to get a space near Main Street, the ones by I-10 are very noisy at night due to the heavy truck traffic. Check out rvparkreviews.com click on AZ then Qtsite If you are going there soon you will not have any trouble finding a park to stay at. From rvparkreviews page you can go to the various parks websites.

RE: Coastal route to Crater Lake

Snow is forecasted in the Cascade Range tonight, that said we like to take hwy 38 from Reedsport to hwy 138 over to I-5 and at Roseburg take 138. Chains or traction tires may be required. We drove from Portland back to Northern Nevada yesterday and it was beautiful going over the mountains, we took I-5, hwy 58 & 97 getting to Klamath Falls.
A little East of Reedsport on 38 is a Elk viewing area we always stop and view the beg heard.

RE: Wrangler Marker and Center/Third Brake Light Not Working

You may want to think about magnetic mount. I have LED mag mounts I purchased on line at pplmotorhomes.com then I added small LED marker lights I got at Wal-mart, drilled into the housing and ran the wires to ground and taillight wires of the magnetic light base, screwed on the marker lights and sealed with clear caulk sealer they work great, only have marker on rear of my Jeep GC, but they are bright. Don’t need third brake light as each magnetic LED light has 61 LED’s, they can been seen even on a bright sunny day.

RE: Dinghy Towing 98 GEO Tracker 4X4I have

There was a procedure in the owners manual on the one I had that told you how to unlock the auto hubs but I didn't feel confortable doing it and knowing if the hubs unlocked so I changed them with manual hubs, didn't cost much. I did a web search and purchased from a company back East, don't remember the name. Mine was a 1990, I think your 98 is good to go as is.
check one of these list I think the goodman chev list goes back to 1998

RE: Door Lock - Now I remember why I have not been able to

You may want to contact Coachman with the serial number of you MH, if you don’t have a serial number the vin # and see if they can give you the key #. If you have any of the paperwork that came with the MH when new you may find the key numbers. That’s how it works at Winnebago anyway.
