2004 Jeep GC remote lock/unlock system

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee remote lock/unlock system Over the last few months I have found that my transmitters receiver for locking and unlocking my doors is not functioning like it should. First let me tell you I have changed the batteries in both transmitters and have traded my wife’s rarely used transmitter for mine. My feeling is it must be in the receivers antenna wherever that might be. Prior to this problem I could lock, unlock or push the panic button many feet from the vehicle. Now the only place the transmitters will work is when I stand next to the front passenger door. I am open to suggestions. TIA, Dick

Craigslist recall help

Craigslist recall help I have a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium. On my previous laptop with Windows Vista I could go to a for sale site I had used previously like Rvs and enter a w and previous makes like Winnebago would show up and I could click on it rather than typing in Winnebago. I have certain things or brands or nearby cities that I search almost everyday and entering them with one letter and then a click sure made it easy. Now I need to type in full names at each for sale site I search. I there something I can do to get this feature on my new computer? TIA Dick

RE: Flat Tow

like previously said if you have Jeep with a transfer case with Neutral position you have a built in disconnect by Jeep. We tow our 4X4 2004 Jeep GC with auto trans and tow it 4 on the ground with out any modification other than adding a tow bar.

RE: Lazy Days RV, Lazy and Poor Service

In todays rvdailyreport.com there is a article about the founder of LazyDays purchasing a big new home like a castle. So he must be doing okay and not worried about your repairs. Jan. 18, 2010) -- The 27,008-foot castle-like structure features such amenities as two pools, a sauna and steam room, his and hers offices, his and hers bathrooms, a game room, elevator, bar, billiard room and even a bowling alley.

Laptop Won’t Startup

Laptop Won’t Startup My HP Pavilion Laptop that I purchased Aug. 2007 won’t startup. Various keyboard lights are on but it does not sound like it is doing its normal boot-up and the screen stays blank. I have tried several times turning it on and off and even taking the battery out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It is a model dv2000 bundled # dv2413cl-b. Merry Christmas Dick & Ellen

RE: Wichita, Ks. Eagle

I have been Rving since 1984 and have stayed in front of peoples homes, but not for as long as this person is camping. IMHO over 5 days is to long to camp in front of a residence. If they want to stay that long go to a RV park and visit the family.

RE: Over Drive

I have a E450 V10 with OD and I don’t agree with the previous advice. I always drive while towing with the OD mode on. When the transmission shift down taking it out of OD I will then push the button so it won’t keep going in and out of OD, then when I get back on a flatter road shift back into OD. I also shift out of OD if I need engine braking going down a grade. Also when you start up, your auto trans is in low gear and will not go into OD until you reach highway speeds.

RE: ventura oaks in CA

While in Ventura a year or two ago we drove up to look it over. They were in the process of doing some changes and it had mostly long term tenants and if you wanted to stay a month or more you had to fill out a form including your SS # for them to run a credit check on you. There was no cable TV service for short term guest and electric was included in your daily rate. Nothing special about it, would be a OK place to stay about 30 minutes from the beach.

RE: Can I keep my 2002 Malibu as a Toad?

One of my previous toads was a 2003 Malibu and it towed 4 down great. Your owners manual should list the procedure. I used the Roadmaster brackets and tow bar. The only problem with the Roadmaster bracket that mounted to the car was low and it scraped going up some driveways, I got so I knew most and went in at an angle.
