RE: Thoughts on older Dodge TV

I bought my 2008 last January new and my DW has refused to drive it because she thought it was much larger than our 2005 2500 QC. Well, Sunday nite she had to learn to drive it in a hurry due to the fact I had another heart attack and we live too far back in the mountains to wait for an ambulance.. She learned it's the same size but she complained that she couldn't see what's behind her and I told her that was because there was no one!. We made it, I'm doing OK. Second one since my big time one in 1995. Minor damage and the blockage will be repaired with medication. Too tough to die I guess!! Or too ornery depending who you ask.
Good luck Charles. My last heart attack was January 1998 - those medical professionals do miracles these days!
My 2003 (see signature) lost water pump at about 90,000 miles. The rest has been fine with 105,000 on it. My mileage is about 18 solo (note DRW and 410) and 10+ towing, as high as 12 occasionally - stiff wind:>) I am very happy with my 6 years OLD TRUCK.

RE: '03 Dodge Transmision Temp Light

Thanks for easing my mind. I'm not that savvy about mechanics but didn't think I would having an overheated manual tranny. Thanks again. john

'03 Dodge Transmision Temp Light

Periodically the transmision temp light will blink on for a second. Then it's gone again. Doesn't seem to be any problem otherwise. It is the standard 6-speed tranny. Any ideas on cause? Won't be home for a couple of weeks so hope to be able to limp home 100 miles to go to my mechanic.

One vs Two 12v Batteries

Would the deletion/loss of one battery affect the operation of the hydraulic pump for leveling and/or the electric awning. tia

RE: Getting a better Internet signal

I think I just plugged my Engenius adapter into the usb port and windows found the driver for me. HOWEVER, if not they should be found here - EUB-362 Ext support
In addition other great solutions are offered by Hawking Tech. Any of the Hawking USB adapters with a removable antenna can be paired with one of their antennae, either indoor or outdoor. I used the HWUG-1 and HAO9ISP antenna with great results for a couple of years. I also tried the antenna with the Engenius and can see about six additional WiFi signals than with my built in 802.11n radio. Don't which is best adapter Hawking/Engenius. They both worked good for me when needed.

RE: Rain in Awning & Extra Support

I have used this rafter/center support on two RVs successfully but that was before the roller was bent. I really liked the setup as it also gives an extra tie down point which have twice survived 70+ mph storms in the Texas Hill country. Don't quite know if it will help the bow but it does add upward support for the tube/roller.

RE: Fridge problems - Norcold

I was having similar experience with my Dometic. I installed a Fridge Fan inside the refrigerator, insulation was added above refrigerator (it is in a slideout) and the external fans at the rear of the box were repaired. This combination made it work great. The Fridge Fan in the little blue plastic box with two D batteries really helped a lot and then the rest of the work was done.

RE: 2005 Dodge Cummins AC Problems

Rather than sue, maybe try NHTSA? That should be first step if safety is involved.

RE: Tire Pressure For Dodge DRW

I weighed my truck on a CAT scale and looked up a PSI chart based on my tire size.....
That's what I am looking for on the web - a PSI Chart. Anybody point me to it? Thanks.
BTW I run loaded as recommended by Dodge and Michellin according to sticker.

RE: What’s with this Bing Crap

I don't use the address bar as a rule to search and but did give a try. Wow, that's neat. But in the search box I have 17 options for my search provider. If I don't like the results from Bing, Yahoo, Live or Google it is really easy to select Wikipedia. Aint tecknology grand! Win 7/IE 8.

RE: LT Tire warranty

Thanks for the replies. I assume the concensus is that there are no treadware warranties. It looks like the companies are free to use their own interpretation of their own data even though the UTQC is intended to make the ratings conform to some guidelines. As I was reading Tiretracks explanations it reminded me of what I did in my first job after retiring from the Air Force in '74 - driving that 400 mile course in West Texas for a tire test company. Just a driver though and didn't learn of the specifics of testing data. Here though we are comparing half, 3/4 and one ton vehicles in the same light.

LT Tire warranty

While shopping for new tires the salesman seeming quite knowledgeable stated that he would choose LT235/80R17E Michelin® LTX® M/S over the Goodyear Wrglr Silent Armor because the Michelin is a "70,000 mile tire". I cannot find any such claim by either manufacturer or in any on-line sales catalogs. In fact I can find a UTQG for the tires above which show Michelin - 500AB and Goodyear - 520AB. This to me indicates Goodyear has the longer tire wear probability. Am I missing something? Please share other information.

Thanks Gary. It works! I was afraid to try that for fear of sparks flying. My bedroom LCD TV is in an enclosure and the sound is pretty bad. Now much better. thanks for reply.
