RE: For you Ford 6.7L owners

GM on the other hand has warrantied all failures in their vehicles.
How do you know GM has warrantied all repairs? Because no one has come on RV.NET and said theirs wasn't? Because no one has came on an internet forum and said so? I don't think everyone comes on the internet when they have problems. I actually think there are some owners who don't even know the forums exist. Of the Ford denials, I think of the 4 I have saw, some had a Titan tank installed. Of course all said that wasn't a problem even though water can get in fuel system if not installed correctly, and I thought I read some had to have their installation re-done. Of course they never bought bad fuel, even though some pull RV's and travel, meaning they use different stations. And yes, as hard as it is to believe, I think a truck stop that goes through alot of fuel, can still have bad fuel. I am sorry that theirs wasn't warrantied, but so far I have only heard 1 side of the story, theirs. But I say, let everyone go on and worry themselves to death. I just finished loading up the truck, going to hook up the fiver in the morning, and grin as I enjoy my truck as I go camping this weekend.
You go and have fun. This is what all of us wish for and the brand doesn't make any difference.

RE: Pin Box Overhaul

I am preparing the pin box for a fresh coat of paint. There are two holes on the front corners that were covered with stickers when the rig was new. They are long since gone, having been out in the weather day in and out for nearly 7 years. What are the holes for and should I seal them up again?
Thanks,
I also keep our pin box looking new. I see so many rusty pin boxes with big paint chips and same for the entry steps. Ours looks new like and is a 2001 model. same for the air hitch

RE: Michelin Ribs OK past 6 Yrs

However, most likely the best tire ever installed on a trailer!
Not really if michelin doesn't make the size or load range that I need why would they be the best for me. Michelin tires are on our truck. Same tire as a friend has and his are cracking and wearing very fast on his tow vechicle.

RE: Ford owns it's logo again!

My experience is we have had 6 fords both in cars and trucks. Never had a good ford. Just my true story nothing more.

I can say the same for Chevolet. And for that matter Sony. Different subject but haven't had any luck with Sony stuff either. Just sayin!
funny how this works out for different brands. buy what works for any of us and be happy.

I worked in construction my total working years and never washed my hands before lunch. Not the same story if I go to town , I wash as soon as I get home.

RE: 2011 Chev Dually Tire Pressure

I'm sure the engineers thought at least twice before deciding the proper inflation figures to place on the plackard. And I'm sure they know a lot more about proper inflation pressures than most forum posters on the internet.
Michelin lists the max pressure at 80 psi, but is max pressure necessary on a DRW setup?
My 07 Chevy dually came from the factory with D rated tires with a recommended inflation of 65 psi.
If you prefer to run 80 psi and jar your teeth at every crack in the road, that should be fine, but 65 is plenty when spread over 4 wheels.
I also have had 2 chev dually trucks that came with D tires and 65 lbs is the max load for this tire. I added a 55 gal inbed tank and wanted more tire load. I bought new E tires at 13994 miles to handle the extra weight. 80 works great and now with the 2nd set of E tires I will towe with 80 and the ride is good until we unload and then down to 65 lbs. No tire problems or uneven wear so that's my story. I kinda feel the listed air pressure is so some folks will think they are driving a car.

RE: Not getting hot water inside the camper...

check valve is not working on the water heater so no water in, no water out.
chevman
What do you mean by no water in or out?
The release vavle on the outside of the heater, says it has water in, and it is hot when I pull it.
Or is this a valve somewhere else?
simple deal. cold water is ok, hot water is available but to get hot water the cold water has to push it so if the check valve is closed so no cold water enters the heater nothing comes out of the hot side in the sink.

RE: Why do I feel like appoligizing....??

I loved the story for us when a MH couple were unloading into a fifthwheel that they had just bought because our neighbor for the winter who lives full time in a MH needed to said two time because she saw this happen (why would anybody go from a MH to a fifthwheel. My wife was not happy to hear that stupid talk so I told her if it comes up again to just say My husband can't understand why some body would live 12 months each year in a MH.
Not thinking that is not a good deal for them but just to shut her up from trash talk. I gave never felt the rv was making anybody better because it cost more money.

RE: Holiday Rambler presidential Parts?

Take a picture of the opening and write on the measurement for width and height and that is all that the cabinet maker will need. Plus if the frame is still in the opening the thickness to the door stop will be needed to know how thick the new doors will need to be.

RE: Not getting hot water inside the camper...

I have the sw6de hot water heater. I had it winterized 2 years ago, and now I am trying to get it ready for the next trip.
I flushed the system, and got it cleaned out.
I have the 2 valve system, they are both open, so fresh water goes in the bottom, and hot can come out the top.
The water is heating up inside the tank. I have hot water coming out of the release valve. But for some reason, I can not get hot water inside to any faucet at all, it isn't even warm.
The coupling on the back side (hot out) is warm, so are the lines (that I can reach).
Any help is appreciated.
check valve is not working on the water heater so no water in, no water out.

RE: 2011 Chev Dually Tire Pressure

Using a tire monitor might make all of us decide what is needed after a few miles towing. It suprised me to see the air pressure go up on our alpenlite towing to Az last September.

RE: 2011 Chev Dually Tire Pressure

No reason for buying E tires if 65 lbs of air is used. Just buy D tires and save 50 cents a tire. Might just be carpenter thinking but it has worked for me

RE: Limp Mode Problem on Duramax LMM

I have a friend that has a 5500 flatbed for towing his tractor. He did the mini max and said the mileage is much better but he has never used math. Wasn't interested in thinking the dic would be wrong because he was happy.

RE: Really nice old Ford TV

I love the mid 50's F1/F100 trucks! :B Some of the most beautiful trucks Ford ever made. I'd love to have one with a later model 300 inline-6 and a 4-speed granny, though it would also be nice to have one with a flat-head or y-block V8.
I didn't feel my 56 ford was much more than a tin body. Not a very good truck but hot rodders like them.
