RE: blackberry curve 8530

I've had mine for about 2 years and use it, oh, about 1,000,000 times a day! So far, so good. :)

RE: Ohio Rallies for 2010

Linda and I, along with Glenn, went to lunch at "Rip's Tavern" today and had corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. We also got an order to go and will freeze it for consumption later. I told the owner that we had to come up with at least one more holiday that requires her to cook corned beef and cabbage. She made 75 lbs. of beef!

RE: upgrade existing norcold 1200 to a residential fridge?

Have you checked to see if Norcold will replace the cooling unit under warranty? They have a huge recall out. Check your serial number.

If it looks like this:

You can get it here:
flagpole light
Usually I find that looking in "google" is a quicker way to find these sort of things. Also, you don't have to subject yourself to the abuse of other folks, such as the one above!

RE: Changing a tire on a diesel pusher

Being in the repair business over 20 yrs the only tool I carry is a CELLPHONE and a Coachnet membership...
Your seriously mistaken if you think you have the "correct" tools to change a 300lb tire on the side of the road. And a spare ??? are you going to carry a spare ??? Why ??? It just doesn't make sense. Get Coachnet and save yourself alot of agrivation.
I carry a mounted spare (10-lug Budd steelies with 11R22.5's on my B-700, about 200lbs), 10-ton bottle jack, chocks, impact socket, socket extension, long breaker bar, prybar/lever. That's all. Liz and I can have a steer or outside dual changed in 15-20 minutes, an inner dual in half an hour to 45 minutes. By the time the guy shows up (if he does), ready to put his jack in the wrong place, cross-thread lugs, and hammer nuts on with a 1" impact (we don't need no stinkin' torque specs!), I can have the tire changed, flat in the carrier, tools away, Liz and I cleaned up, and be back on the road, KNOWING everything was done properly. I can change a tire solo, so can she.
Now I need to convince my uncle to teach me how to swap the Daytons my Genesis runs. I don't like Daytons...
You know you have a great place to wait until the repair guy arrives, right? I'm also pretty sure you would be allowed to watch him do the job to be sure it's done properly. I also assume you must enjoy throwing around 200 lb. of dead wieght with traffic wizzing by. And be careful you don't hurt yourself or else the rest of the trip is toast. And don't forget to hit the scales to make sure all that extra stuff you're carrying didn't put you overwieght. Not meant as a flame job, just a few things to consider.
I'm ~4500lbs under my GVWR...I couldn't overload my bus if I tried. I'd rather change a tire myself than twiddle my thumbs for hours waiting for Ben Dover's Tire Service to show up (if they do), ready to charge $500 for a bald Chinese trailer tire.
Given that you are obviously well prepared, and given that you and the DW can do a very quick job of changing tires, including known times to do it, and given that you carry all the equipment to change your tires, including a spare, I am curious, do you have a LOT of flat tires? I mean how else could you have that much knowledge and experience? Wow! There is no way I would know all that stuff. Maybe you are doing something wrong to have all those tire problems? :h

RE: Hot water

Maybe but the atwood operators manual says turn off the propane at the tanks before traveling. Atwood.com/water heater
Actually, there is no such link as "atwood.com/water heater. The correct link is:

RE: Ohio Rallies for 2010

Well Larry, what do you think 69-68, OSU Basketball team beats UM!! :B
Dan, did you hear the game???? Michigan went up by two points with 2 seconds left in the game! 2 SECONDS!!! OSU took the ball out at the end line and passed it in to Evan Turner who dribbled once, and tossed in a SWISH from 37 feet. OSU wins at the buzzer on a three! Talk about drama!

RE: Changing a tire on a diesel pusher

I have actually changed several of my 22.5" tires, in my driveway. First I tried using my 1" impact and the air supply from the motorhome. Didn't do squat. Then I fired up my 5hp air compressor. Still nothing. Then I got my 1" rachet and a 6 foot long pipe. By bouncing on the pipe, with the rachet supported by a concrete block, I was able to loosen the lug nuts. In retrospect, I really don't want to do this on a highway, so I have Good Sam ERS. Oh, BTW, I used the leveling jacks to lift the coach.

RE: Ohio Rally, Annual Spring Rally April 30 - May 2, 2010

Ugh, I don't know how you do that, just got going myself.
This morning I am going on a field trip with Corey's preschool class to a local kids science/art museum. The kids' favorite thing here is a giant toilet that they can slide through - is that crazy or what? :B
Sharyl kicks me out.:B Yeah right. :)

RE: Ohio Rallies for 2010

Vocabulary word for the day:
ar·ma·men·tar·i·um
1. The complete equipment of a physician or medical institution, including books, supplies, and instruments.
2. The complete range of materials available or used for a task.
I visited my doctor today and he used this word. I had never heard it before so decided to try to add it to my vocabulary. You are welcome to do so also.

So I am out driving today, and pulled up to a red light. I looked out my windshield and here is what I see:

I'm not kidding. I know he has a Florida license, but if you check, the rest are all from Ohio. Is this a sign of spring or what???

RE: Revolution LE

While you may get some suggestions on the American Coach Yahoo forum, you should be aware that the Revolution is NOT an American Coach. However, I do like the Rev. It is a nice looking coach with a lot of nice features. The Revolution is built at the same factory as the American Coach, on the same assembly line.

RE: Drinking from fresh water tank...

One thing that always concerns me is not necessarily the quality of the water, but rather the consistency. We as humans, and to a lessor extent, our pets, are able to adjust to some bad conditions in our water. Having adjusted, we can consume the water and generally show no ill effects. However, when we travel outside our own neighborhood, we can encounter different bad conditions to which we have not become immune, and as such, we can show adverse effects from those conditions. The classis example of this is the famous "Montezuma's revenge" a lot of folks experience when visiting Mexico. This same thing can happen when your travel is contained within the USA.
In order to minimize this, we generally drink bottled water that we carry with us on our journeys. I can't argue that the quality is better or worse than the water we drink from the tap, only that the content is generally consistent, and I can handle that.
On that basis, we will use our holding tank water for cooking, but generally not for drinking.
