RE: 2009 Rockwood 8314SS slide leak question/opinion

I don't have a slide cover but I always make sure that the trailer a little low on the slide side. That makes the water flow out away from the trailer. It doesn't have to be much. Most seals won't totally prevent leaking if you have it leveled to draw the water toward the seal where it can gather.

Platform lift question

My sister just bought a Damon class A and needs a platform that she can use to load a small wheel chair. The chair is 23" wide. She found a Burr Handi-lift that will fit the MH and the chair but it says, "not intended for wheel chair use". She wants it to mount on the MH as is, not a new door. Who has some ideas to help her??? Here's a link to the Handi-Lift

Organizing POI's on nuvi 750

Is it possible to save custom POI's in sub-categories already established? I want my Cracker Barrel listings so they show up as a food destination along with other food . Can I create a new sub-category like 'camping' that will show with food, lodging, shopping, etc on the list of sub-categories? I have a nuvi 750

RE: Which Garmin Nuvi?

Bought a refurbished nuvi 750 from Tiger Direct for $150. Good company, great little unit! Still learning how to use it.

RE: New cars and trucks will have to get 30% better mpg

I don't see what choice we will have for towing. I travel with 2 dogs and 2 cats. They travel great in the Denali but there would not be enough room in a pickup for all of us. I don't want a pickup to drive around anyway. The Denali is our family car. It looks like I will have to leave the ranks of TT and join the motorhome crowd. Never thought I would do that again but the options are becoming limited.

RE: speed

The key to mileage is slow down. My Denali gets about 6 mpg at 70 mph and nearly 10 at 55 mph. That's about 1 MPG for every 4 MPH. No mods necessary. I have checked this many times and it works that way every time. It costs $10-20 a tankful to get there quicker. It is not worth it to me. I drive 57 MPH and enjoy what I see.

RE: Which Firefox add-ons and why.

restore scroll position 0.5.9.11. A great little extension that lets the back or forward button take you back to the exact place you were on that web page.

12 volt digital TV

Anybody know of a 12 volt TV that is 26-30 inches? I spend a lot of nights at Walmart on my batteries and need to replace my Concertone. I also would like to find a 12 volt DVD video recorder so we can record our shows while on the road.
