RE: dishes vs paper plates

I have Corelle and also use styrofoam/paper plates, it depends on the food we are eating.

RE: GS extended warranty mailings to high mileage MH owners

I receive mailings from Good Sam concerning extended warranty and my RV is a 1975 motorhome. I don't think it would be prudent to buy an extended warranty on this vehicle nor do I know of any company that offers one so this could possibly save money also.

RE: Memphis to New Orleans

Lived in Memphis until four years ago and went to New Orleans 4 or 5 times but we took Amtrak and stayed at a motel about one block from the French Quarter.

RE: working late, working early TC to the rescue

I have had and sold a lot of campers and I miss my truck camper most of all. You are lucky to be able to have your living quarters with you in situations like this.
And a nice rig you have. :)

RE: Millington/Memphis (TN) to Branson

You could also take I-40 West to Conway, AR and hwy 65 north to Branson. The same amount of miles and all good road.
This is my favorite route, I have been this route with truck and travel trailer also motor home.

RE: how do you light up the night

When I feel the need to "light up the night" I just lay rope lights around my trailer or motorhome, they emit a soft not glaring light and I turn them off at night when I retire.

RE: truck tents

I bought my truck tent from Walmart (about 50 bucks) I knew I was not going to use it much so didn't want an expensive one. First time you put it up takes a little while but practice cuts time down to about 15/20 minutes. You do need some kind of padding and I use a futon mattress.

RE: Burying the dog (dark humor)

I have some buried in the backyard of my house in the city and some buried in the backyard of the house in the country where we now live. I have never had one cremated but either way it is sad and painful.

RE: No Television??

Most of the time we are also with out a TV although we do have one available. We do not have satellite or even an antenna and use it only to play CD's or occasionaly a DVD. We have many other things to keep us entertained when we are camping.
