looking at a new 2009 anybody with experience on theses units
I'm not sure if you ever received an answer to your question. I will try to give you our reason for placing our order on the newest edition of the Montana Big Sky.
Four and a half years ago we became interested in the Montana to start our full time journey of becoming nomads in an RV. We joined the MOC to learn as much about them as we could. We had been looking at all different 5th wheels (and some class A's) trying to decide what unit we wanted to buy. We had already gone the whole route over the years from a tent to a pop-up to a trailer and then a 30' 5th wheel. Every time we traded up, we loved the new unit but we knew that when we went full time we wanted as much room as possible. We also wanted to be able to safely pull our trailer with nothing larger than a one ton tow vehicle with the added tow package. We searched and searched and four years ago we put our order in for our first Montana. Our very first trip was to am MOC rally in Nevada. There were 25 Montana owners at this rally and we met some of the nicest people we have ever been with. To this day, we consider every one of them family. Since then we met up with our Full Time classmates from the class of '05. We were in the original group that started the Alumni on the Escapee Forum and have made many more close friends that feel like family to us. After four years of full timing our family just keeps on getting bigger and bigger but we still remember how nice our first rally was. We were so happy with our Montana and learned so much from the MOC. Today we still ask questions on the Montana Forum and still try to give information to the newcomers on the forum that we feel we can offer assistance to.
It is now 4 years later and we have towed our Montana about 80,000 miles. We have been to Alaska, Mexico, Newfoundland, Florida and everywhere between several times, and all in our Montana and with very little trouble.
One week ago went to the Tampa RV Show and saw the new Hickory Edition of the Big Sky with full body paint and the 4 door refrigerator, leather sofa and chairs and all the other things that we loved and we just had to order it. Keystone has been a great company and the Montana Division is super. We have spent several months looking at other choices but always came back the the Big Sky as our choice for the money that we wanted to spend and feel safe pulling without going into a heavy duty truck.
As to having experience with the 2009 Big Sky, no... we haven't recieved it yet. But I can tell you that we have visited and talked to several of the Montana family that have purchased these and they are very happy with them. I can not thing of any reason that we will not be either.
Our best to you and we hope to have you join our family.
