RE: Bought a camera for the back of the 5er

It even included directions on how to wire it at the top of the back fiberglass cap and with suggestions on how to route the wiring down the inside. How did they recommend mounting and running the cable down the inside?

RE: Removing Generator from 5th Wheel

My unit is a 2008 Wildcat, Forest River, 5th wheel. The generator is located in the usual front storage compartment. We have children and only stay in RV Parks with full hook-ups. I plan to store it in my garage until I re-install it later when the wife and I are minus kids. How do I take it out? How do I cap the propane feeds? How long are you going to store it? Generators need to be run under load periodically (like once a month or so) to keep in shape. You could ruin it if not stored properly.

RE: Air Safe Hitches

I've had the same problem with the tilt issue which is annoying. I've stuffed a rag under the head to get it almost level until I get hooked up which seems to work o.k. For the price of the hitch it seems there could be something in the design to tilt the head rearward. On a second note, I had to loosen the top of the towers bolts as it seemed to pinch the towers binding the slides it seemed. Silicone lubricant helped as well. Have others ran into this? I haven't noticed any binding but I'll watch closer for it, thanks for the heads up. I contacted them re: the tilt of the head and they really don't care, acted like I was bothering them. Really poor customer service. Who did you contact the Florida dealer or North Dakota company???? I believe it was the Florida dealer, I think that was my mistake!

RE: Air safe 25k hitch

The old head had the springs on it. The new model does not. I sure don't know why it was dropped but I put some on my new one. I have it tilted down about one inch to the rear. Works great. Bob That sounds like what I'm looking for Bob. Any info on the springs you used and where you may have got them? Thanks.

RE: Air safe 25k hitch

Mine has 2 springs mounted from the head to the frame it sits on. Keeps it level and it does not bounce going down the road empty Rich Thanks Rich, did these springs come with your hitch or did you add them? I was thinking of adding if I can find something appropriate to use. Hooking up with the head opening pointing up at the sky isn't getting it!

Air safe 25k hitch

I know several people on this forum are using the Airsafe 25k hitch. What are you using (or doing) to keep the binkley head tilted in the right direction for hookup? Normal installation has the head pointing up in the air at the rear, opposite of what you would want. Thanks.

RE: Air Safe Hitches

What are you folks that have the 25k airsafe do with the binkley head to keep it tilted to the rear (normal hook up position). The head alone wants to tilt the other way. Isn't there a spring or something to prevent this?
