RE: Any Input on Cowanesque Lake COE CG in Tioga PA?

We stay there or Ives Run each year on our yearly trek to NYS. Both are nice CGs and well maintained. You can't go wrong with any COE park. Plus with geezer pass we get camping half price.

RE: Finger Lakes, NY

Best place is Sampson State park. Center of the finger lakes and along Seneca Lake. Near wine trails and great fishing. Many water falls. If you are into boondocking there is Finger Lakes National Forest in Hector NY.

RE: Water pump issues -- normal or needs replaced?

Shurflo is a good pump. Mine does the same thing when I prime it for the season. If your hot water heater is not full it will do that. I would live with the one you have. it sounds like you still have air in the line somewhere so let it run a little longer. It should clear up.

RE: Walmart parking lots

We use Walmarts in transit all the time. In by seven, out by seven. ask permission, get food from delli and go to sleep. Never felt threatened. Why pay for services you don't need in a campground.

RE: Airstream Club members ~ Urgent help!

Sorry to say, but the aluminum may be worth more for junk than what someone is willing to pay for it.

Our airstream is 47 and still used at least once a month, year around. Don't plan on replacing it.

RE: Is GS Club worth the money?

I was a GS member for many years and all I got was a bunch of junk mail. I only got one discount on a campground, in ten years, all others they quit the GS didcount. I did like the magazine.
I get the same 10% discount with my AARP card.

RE: How many of you.....

I do it in the COE campgrounds and take a picture of the campsite. That way I can go to reserve.gov and see the sites that are open and look at my picts to see what they look like.

RE: share your "vintage" RV pictures MAX SIZE 640 x 480

Oddly, I have a 1984 I just bought that is rotted in the front right hand corner like yours. Must have been a mfr problem.
the rest of the trailer is in good shape.

RE: wondering if i should buy a 82 winnebago chieftain

Go for it. it will be fun. I have restored 7 old trailers and working on #8. I enjoy the work and I get most all the parts off e-bay. You sound like you can handle the mechanicals and the interior repairs are a piece of cake. Price is a little high but if all is in good condition I would go $3000 at highest.
My cousin from NYS had a 68 motorhome that was won on the $64000 question show (If some of you geezers can remember) and he drove it up to 2005. One time the engine blew in NC so he had it towed to a junk yard and put another engine in it and continued to Florida. LOL

RE: Number of dogs allowed

Up until recently we traveled with three dogs (one passed on)but mostly stay in COE or NF campgrounds. Pa (I think) has a limit of two dogs but we normaly stay at Gifford Pinchot state park when we visit our son near harrisburg but that may be just that park. We have not had any problems. Haven't stayed in a private CG in years.
