RE: Light Weight & Durable

I highly recommend the rockwood roo hybrid line, dont know how many beds you need to refer the model but if you go to their website you can search the floorplans for yourself.

Slide out maintenace

does anybody lubricate the rollers on their slide rooms? owners manual doesnt cover this and I can see where debry getting caught in the grease could present a problem...

RE: electric awning with rain dump feature

kincade...I have the same awning as you..those knobs just make it so you can set the pitch for rain..once you set the pitch there is still nothing holding the awning down from wind gusts....see for your self...go drop your awning than push up on it with your hand...

RE: electric awning with rain dump feature

H&E, Can you elaborate on the Way you tie it down? (where you got the 36" rubber straps and stuff? this is important to me beacause I set up a lot of stuff under my awning to keep dry and I am use to only rolling up my awning in pretty bad weather...dont want to lose that ability..thanks

RE: Jay Flight G2 29BHS vs. Jay Feather 28R

Ok here is my 2 cents. I have owned a jayco 30r jayfeather and my best friend has the g2. I can tell you that the g2 is definitely the way to go...Jayco cuts way too much out of the jayfeathers to try and save weight...my 30r towed excellent, but other than that there was a lot of issue's, difficult to level due to chassis flex, jayco had to replace the entire roof due to delamination, shower always leaked, trailer was too low to the ground, etc....the g2 has none of these issues...and is a real solid camper...

electric awning with rain dump feature

Ok,
I have had my new 2010 forest river 3006w windjammer for a few weeks now. Havent camped with it yet but the weather was nice enough for me to play with it a bit today. I checked out my new electric awning, never had an electric one before. seems to work real nice, just push a button in and out...except for one thing. when you have it out and adjust the angle for rain dump...everything looks normal, but when you get a little bit of wind there is nothing holding it in place...the wind just blows it up a foot or 2 and then it slams back down...am I missing something???? How can this be the way its suppose to be? I guess i could tie it down but the old manual style didnt do anything like this even in a good solid wind....any input will be appreciated

RE: Reese High Performance sc hitch Problem

Yes, I spoke with Reese today, expecting that there would be a fix. But guess what there isnt..all's Reese had to tell me was," yes< we are aware of the problem and we are working on a solution" Can you believe that? How long are they making hitches? when you design a new hitch you dont take into consideration the different types of coupler mounts? I am returning the reese and buying an equalizer e4...problem solved...

RE: Reese High Performance sc hitch Problem

yes, the equalizer does accommodate bottom mounts...I already verified that with equalizers online instructions...wish I would have just bought one of them from the start..

RE: Reese High Performance sc hitch Problem

Hi Ron..
the shank has nothing to do with the problem. the problem is the hitch is made for top mount couplers only...so if you have a bottom mount there is no way for you to be able to get the bars up high enough to rest on the pads...in other words its off by about 3 inch to low due to the coupler being mounted on the bottom of the frame vs the top...

Reese High Performance sc hitch Problem

Just bought a Reese high performance sc hitch (model #66155) after much research I thought it had a little edge over the equalizer...turns out there is one big flaw with it..It you have a bottom mounted coupler (welded to lower edge of frame vs top of frame) IT DOES NOT WORK. you cant get the bars on...no matter what you do...I thought the world should know because reese isnt telling anybody...The kicker is that the eqaulizer works on both top and bottom mounted couplers...you would think they would of had this covered...unreal

RE: The shortest Travel Trailer w/ Most amount of sleeping room

outback makes one..if i remember right its a 21rks or something like that..it has 2 bunks in the front, the usual jacknife sofa and dinette and then a queen size hard slide off the back of the camper..
