RE: Gawd, I am stoopud. First experience with tail swing.
I rented a National Class A a few years ago. The gas filler is in the back instead of on the side. That forces you have to pull closer to the pumps than normal.
Everything was fine and I was aware of the limitations when I started to pull out away from the pumps. Almost past the pumps when some 18 wheeler pulled into my path from the side. I had to turn sharp to miss the truck but the back end hit the pole that protects the gas pump as it swung out. A bad ending to a great trip.

I think most people don't like to give broad opinions; Cayman bad, Meridian good. Your next step should be to find a specific model you like and ask opinions about the pros and cons.
