RE: Jayco owners

Heat to the tanks is provided by the furnace. Should be heat ducts going to the compartments.

RE: Mail

We use the free mail forwarding cerise that USPS offers. This year we forwarded it to a UPS Store mail box. They then forwarded to us. I worked very well. This allows us to collect our mail at the local store near our stick home. But UPS Stores charge a lot for use of their boxes. We found a less than 1/2 price store smiliar to UPS Stores near where we stay in TX. Will use them next year.
Here is a link to USPS Mail Forwarding site.

RE: BD Diesel varible vane exhaust brake

Fleece Performance also has one. Several after market EFI LIVE programmers like the one mentioned above can do this programing.
Here is a thread from DP on the subject. Banks Speed Brake on a 2006 LBZ Dually
GM's Medium Duty Trucks with Duramax engine have had this option in them since 2006 model year.

RE: Roswell NM How many days?

Forget about the aliens, Roswell has one of the best museums and art galleries in New Mexico. The collection of art is very good. The collection of old west and indian items is without parallel and the collection of Spanish conquistador stuff is really cool. In addition the exhibit on Goddard (the father of modern rocketry who experimented there) is worth seeing also. DW wanted to go see the art. I will go back anytime we're in the area to see the relics. Spend a day at the museum and 10 minutes buying T shirts for the grandkids.
Same suggestion I was going to post. The UFO museum is OK. But does not compare to the Art Museum. Their are couple of other places that you should view if you spend time in Roswell. Visit the Roswell Chamber of Commerce across parking lot from Art Museum for info on other places to visit.

RE: CoachNet

Nobodys perfect but I can tell you horror stories about both AAA and Good Sam while CoachNet has been extremely helpful particularly when my daughters were stranded and needed help desperately, CoachNet only for me and I agree that speaking to the right people at CN will get results.
Speaking to the right person can be a problem. The person I spoke to was head of CoachNet's Quality Assurance Department. She informed me she was the final step and unless I did it her way there was no way the issue would be resolved.Sorry, she has a boss too and that is why I gave the name and email address for a Senior VP of the company. If you let someone walk on you when you feel you have a valid gripe and are right, then shame on you.
Why argue with a company that has a policy and sticks to it. When there may be other ways to solve a complaint. I solved the problem by canceling what was left of my contract. Then signed up for GS. If I have a problem like I had with Coach-Net. I can send a email to the head guy. Not some VP.
I hope OP gets his problems with them resolved.

RE: CoachNet

I posted this on another thread and here it is again....no sympathy from me, unless you make the people that CAN make a difference, aware of the problem. If after you make them aware and get nowhere, then come back and tell us about it. I know for a fact Mr Stroup will NOT ignore you.
Did you bother to try and go up the ladder to get to the root of your problem? I'm sorry but they do have a group that follows up with these complaints, if they know about them. Instead of saying how poor they are, try following the right procedure, then report how the ENTIRE scenario played out.
Here is the place to start..... Henry Stroup, Sr. Vice President
...... hstroup@Coach-Net.com
HOW the heck does an inadequate inept response to a problem count? Why is the onus on the person who buys there service appropriate? The problem with extended warranties or road side assistance is they guarantee you NOTHING except the right to complain or sue over the contract language. We all need a lawsuit like we need a whole in the head.
We need reputable responsive road side assistance - NOT a PAIN in the REAR in addition to vehicle issues. Coachnet FAILED miserably on this one. Do you think it is unique?
I had a similar problem with Coach Net. After having them for several years I had to use them.
When there was a problem with the service provided Coach Net made it my responsibility to run around and get them all kinds of information that was not required to solve the problem.
Canceled my contract and went with Good Sam.
While I had to put out my own money to repair the damage. I get to post here that CoachNet's Quality Assurance department wants you to jump through hoops to solve their problems.
MY Coach-Net post. Coach-Net ????????????

RE: Tire Work Needed...Recommendation Appreciated...

I have used Discount Tire to install metal valve stems with good results. Other option would be to take your RV to a truck tire shop. They deal with metal valve stems all the time. Wingfoot is a company that I have used.

RE: 225/70R19.5 Versus 8R19.5

Looking at tire sizing charts. 245/70-19.5 tires would be a better match for outside diameter.
225 = 32.2" 640 rpm
245 = 33.2" 619 rpm
8.75= 33.3" 626 rpm

RE: Problem with Pilot/Flying J RV Plus Card

Well it seems to work on everything else automatically??? That is strange that propane would be different. Perhaps a different company brings in their propane or something, but I don't know.
I do wish they'd cut the sewer dump fee though, or at least make it minimal for people who use their stores. Does the card work with dump fees too? Haven't tried.
Did a dump at OK City last month. Plus card would not give the discount. Cashier gave me $5 cash back. Called P-FJ to report problem. Thanked me for the report and said they would work on this feature. Probably the same problem as propane.

My ScanGaugeII and TPMS monitor are small and mount out of the way. Rear view monitor is in the driver side sun visor.
