RE: 2003 Newmar Montainaire ??

We love ours. I counter the CCC concern as stated before with carrying only a 1/4 tank of water. As far as the brakes, the previous owner had a problem but had it addressed with the changing of the brake fluid. So far we have had no problem but I will change the brake fluid again next year. Alot of it has to do with the moisture that is absorbed in the fluid if the rig sits alot. As far as Newmar and brakes, this is a Workhorse problem not Newmar. I'm sure everything will get worked out here in the near future. Newmar and build quality? I don't think you'll find anything better. JMHO

RE: Tow rating on a Class A

Most gassers only have a 3500 to 5000 lb hitch. Pushers are mostly rated at 10K. I would hedge obviously toward a pusher. The other side is the CCC rating. With a pusher you will be able to carry alot more personal equipment with you as well.

RE: Saturday College Football Discussions!

Now Bags, you needn't be so harsh on my LIONS. (Nittany) of course. Yeah your Bucks should have an easy ride the rest of the way. For me it's wait and see what team is going to show up next week. As I've mentioned before there like Doctor Jeckel, Mr. Hide.
Personally I enjoyed the Georgia Tech / Wake Forest game. Two weeks in a row that Wake almost beat a top 25 team.
Michigan, what a joke.
Good for Navy.
Bama / LSU was a pretty good scrap.
Cincy? Yeah they're a really good team. That QB was on his game.

RE: RVS FROWNED UPON IF OLD AT SOME PARKS.

Good for you speaking your mind. People have what they can afford and as long as they enjoy what they have, who has the right to say anything about it. KUDOS to you and enjoy your travels. Happy Motoring!

RE: Thoughts About Yesterday's Football Games (College)

Hey Bags, my Nittany Lions better be awake for four quarters Saturday when your Bucks come to town. I hope the Lions can decide to play a complete game. Either way it will be a good game.
Oregon / USC I never expected quite that outcome. I did expect something a little closer. My brother-in-law must have been pretty upset. He went and played for USC.
Rose Bowl (Oregon vs Iowa)? Maybe, but Oregon will crush the Hawkeyes as long as the Hawks don't bring their own officials. The calls in the game against Indiana were a joke. I never seen anything that pathetic.
Somebody's Wolverines. OUCH:E
Florida sure did rule.
Alabama has not quite convinced me yet. The offense comes and goes lately.
Texas COULD be a threat for the No. 1 spot.
Another game I found entertaining was MIA-FL vs Wake Forest. That was a good contest.
I'm surprised my TV channel changer even works today.

RE: 22.5 wheel simulators

I would contact Newmar. They might just send you one. Doesn't hurt to ask. At the very least they will tell you where to get one.

I would hard and long about that kind endeavor. It might all look good on paper or even talking face to face but the first time something goes wrong or not as planned?????:M I guess it boils down to how important is your friendship.

RE: RV dealer promised to pay off loan, then closed shop

My question might be. Where is the motorhome that was traded in? If it wasn't paid for then the title has to be still in the origial owners name. Can't change title unless the rig is paid for. So getting back to the question, if the the dealers inventory was seized where is the rig? And actually there are two different stories here where is the other couples rig? This dealer was know for pulling shady deals.

RE: Waxing Motorhome

In my younger years I could get the 32' Bounder done maybe in a day and a half. I can't see anyone doing a job right by HAND and getting it done in a few hours. Outside of some kind of spray on system. That stuff doesn't last but one wash maybe two at the most.
Now, I just take my time first using Blue Coral wash and drying by hand then applying NuFinish with a buffer I purchased at WalMart for $14.95. I think they changed the particular model on that 6" buffer to a littlemore upgraded model for $19.95 now but it sure gets the job done. Get yourself some microfibre towels as well just to buff it up in some hard to get areas. If you wonder yes the buffer does last for more then one appication. Actually I've used it at least three times on the present coach, once on the father-in-laws and twice on the old coach. Not bad for $14.95.

RE: Emergency road service GoodSam or AAA????

We have Progressive along with their road service. Have had to use them three times with our previous coach. Very good experience each time in that they were very courteous and prompt. The estimated arrival times for the service trucks were always within a few minutes. They always kept in contact with us to make sure we were allright and that everything went OK. Personally I hope we don't need to use them again but it's a good piece of mind just knowing they're available.

RE: What did you do to your Class A MH today???

Actually yesterday, I changed the oil and lubed the chassis. Scraped my forehead on the heat shield protecting the LP tank. "OUCH" :M I have to wonder how anyone can roll around under one of these rigs on a creeper? I barely fit laying on the ground. Now I'm 6'3" @ 220lbs. and don't consider myself out of shape for my age but geeeeeees! That's a tight fit. That being said we can now be almost ready to leave for FLA.:B

RE: What about the amazon in Kentucky???

I was considering the one in Kentucky. It's in Campellsville. I've been procrastonating on it. Today was the first start date and Nov. 2 is the next. The only shift when I checked that was available was Mon., Tues.,Thurs.,Fri. evenings. I may contact them yet but it might be to late.

RE: Bug cleaning concocktion?

I usually stop for fuel at Flying J's. They have long handeled window sponge/squeegies. Now it does take a little while to put at least 65 gallons of fuel in. I'll normally grab the window device clean my front windows and the entire front end as well. Grab some paper towels before you exit the motorhome or get the wipes they have at the gas island to help dry the front off. It has never taken me longer to wash the entire front than it does to fill the tank. And when done I leave with a clean, fresh looking rig for the road. Not once have I ever been approached by anyone to ask what I am doing. (It's obvious) I've never felt that I was holding anyone up. Now if you don't stop at the J's they do sell the extendable cleaners at WalMart, Home Depot, Lowes etc. I just find by doing this my life of keeping the front of the moho clean is made just that much easier. Of course keeping a good coat of wax on the front helps as well for the process. JMHO :B

RE: Prescription Questions

Thanks for the info Kirk. We do spend some time in the Southwest, never in Yuma yet though. If we make it to that area maybe we'll take a trip South to Mexico and see what it's all about. Again Thanks!!

RE: Prescription Questions

If I may pop in here, when you say at a fraction of the price what might that be? Is there a place whre you can get actual pricing before going there? Some examples would be great. My wife is on 11 different scrips and since losing the job and even with cobra it is still mighty expensive. Thanks!
