RE: Eternabond

Use Eternabond tape and it will be the last time you need to worry about it.
Here's some photos of my roof seams after removing the built up Dicor caulk and applying the Eternabond tape.
Roof to front cap joint:
Old caulking removed and joint strip screws countersunk flush.

Same joint with Eternabond tape applied.

RE: The continuing saga of the black fuel

I think the check valve you are refering to is for the older mechanical C8.3 engines pre 1998 (I believe) with the Bosch P7100 pump. The OP has a 2000 model and it is an electronic controled engine and has a common rail system.
Sounds like the screen prior to the lift pump may be the final fix.
Not positive, but pretty sure a ISC (a 8.3 does) have a check valve in the return fuel line (mounted on the injection pump) that regulates the fuel pressure. I cannot find it on Ebay curently, but it looks like the one in the middle of these. They are known to go bad and not create enough pressure in the pump with many an injection pump being replace when this $50 part is the real problem. *OK, here it is and read the entire add for some usuful info.

RE: Wiring Lights to New Silverado?

Roadmaster sells this wiring kit that adds a seperate bulb in the tailight assy so you don't have to hack into your toads wiring harness. This also eliminates eletricial feedback issues. Simple and easy to install. Took me about an hour on my Tahoe.

RE: Credit card/fuel fillup limit, what's the story?

I opened an account with Pilot and they issued me a password protected credit type card to use at the pump. Account can be linked to a credit card or debit your checking or savings account. I choose the debit option. I just fill up and drive away, never have to go inside unless I want a reciept. They make 1 debit transaction per week but they do charge $0.50 per per transaction, but it's worth it to me vs. the hassle of having to go in to turn the pump on then going in again to settle up.
Works for me.
