RE: route co.springs to grand junction,co

Monarch Pass will be the only big pull you will have on Hwy 50. If you take I-70, you have the climb up to the tunnels and the climb over to Vail. Hwy 50 is the better road (JMHO). Spending the night (or 2) in Gunnison is a great ideal.

RE: bugs

I ran into them a few years ago crossing Eastern Oregon. Man, what a mess they make. If we didn't stop and scrape them off, the windshield would be completly covered. The front of that white Discovery was a pretty yellow by the end of the day.

RE: Cheyenne Mountain State Park

As was said, the colors could start anytime in September. It seems it is now later in the month then it used to be. It will still be warm in the Springs in August. As to the bad weather, pretty limited in the Springs area (jmho). Late September and October the weather should be fantastic. A short drive up Hwy 24 toward Cripple Creek will put you into lots of colors during that time.

RE: Camping near Springfield MO

Will you take Hwy 60 over to Mansfield? I think the closet thing for you maybe in Ozark. It will be a little South of the Hwy 60 & Hwy 65 junction but a lot closer then the KOA or the fair park. I would check rv park reviews for Ozark.

RE: Hwy 89A from Flagstaff to Jerome

We ran it from Flag down to Prescott. Turns are tight but take your time, should have no problem. We did the road in late January so not much traffic. I would not take my rig into Jerome.

RE: Oregon coastline camping?

Some additional informatin, Sea Perch is right on the ocean, but nothing else around it. Pacific Shores is in chapter 7 and if I understand correctly, they are not allowing over night rentals right now.

RE: Oregon coastline camping?

Newport (OR) has the Port of Newport park right on the bay, 2 block walk down to the ocean. Walk accross the bridge to old town Newport. A good place to hang out for a few days.

We had to replace the check value on our unit that solved the problem.

RE: Cat C-7 Fan Hub Shot Again

I think I would spend some time on the phone with the Cat folks. I suspect I would be rather vocal.

RE: Hydronic Heat Circulation Pump Replacement

I would check with Roger Berke. I do not have his link but you should be able to find him via google. He is a wealth of information as well as part for hydro and agua hot systems.

RE: Windshield Covers, what do you like?

Another vote for Prompt Screen. Going on 12 years now. I called the factory, they sent me a new rubber strap and some new suction cups, no charge. Very quick set up/take down.

RE: Help Deciding - Travel Supreme & Newmar Mountain Aire

Entegra Coach (Jayco) bought the tooling (not the name TS) when TS went under. I have talked to the Entegra people at rv shows to see if they would work on my coach. I was told that they would.

RE: Help Deciding - Travel Supreme & Newmar Mountain Aire

TS was one of the best coaches on the market in my book. We had a Mountain Aire before the TS. More quality in the TS for the buck.
