RE: Hensley Arrow -- Cracked weld -- Check yours

The Propride stinger weighs about 50 lbs..... not much worse than a hitch with a friction sway set-up weighs.

RE: accessories to deal on w/ new TT

If it was me it would be
Tornado flush
MaxAir vent covers
Brake controller
in that order... definitely get the black tank flush installed even if you have to pay for it before 1st use.

RE: Just ordered the new TT

I currently have a 2008 G2 32BHDS and tow with a ProPride Hitch. The difference between it and the one from the dealer (friction type) is night and day. Semi's go by me now and I do not realize it until I hear them. As far as installing it -- no problem. If you get stuck, just call Sean and he will walk you thru the problem (he did me). One thing that nobody mentions is that with this hitch I find I do not need and electric tongue jack as I never have to crank it for the weight distribution part. Anyway Congrats on the new trailer.

RE: ProPride Hitch Questions

I would go with 100 pounds not 150.... To me its worth it, why have a $30,000 tow vehicle and a $25,000 trailer with a $300 hitch holding them together. You're only as strong as your weakest link. The difference I noticed was worth it for me - not even mentioning how much easier and faster it is to hitch and un-hitch. Just my .02

RE: Jayco 324 bhds door locks

Actually you probably have 4 different keys - front storage, door 1, door 2, and rear storage. I find it easy enough to just put them in order (since the front storage key is visably different).......want to unlock the 2nd door (bathroom) just use the 2nd key from the storage key.

RE: What about 4WD?

Many will say no need.....I have a 4x4 and will say that 95% of the time I do not need it. That being said, Have been in campsites (all dirt) that when trying to leave (after a night of rain) needed my 4x4 to get out, as it was just slippery enough. For the most part a 4x4 lets you get stuck further and deeper that a 2wd.

RE: Favorite driving music

Good old classic rock ... lean toward the harder stuff (its what I grew up with)
Led Zeppelin
Rush (old)
Hendrix
Cream
Sabbath
Who
But the best driving song is by Golden Earring "Radar Love" ....

RE: Hensley Arrow or Pullrite hitch owner questions

Have a ProPride (new Hensley) and will say that it does all that it says it would do. Plus I find hitching and un-hitching to be much faster and easier.

RE: WASHERS the game

One note -- when making the washer boards have the grain of the wood go with the direction of the throw -- the washer slides better with the grain than across.

RE: Cul De Sac Question

As long as no cars, then no problem - My neighbors have always moved their cars for me if they are home. Go knock on the door explain the situation and I'll bet they will move it for you also.

RE: Jayco G2 32bhds Front Bedroom

I'll admit its a little tight. As far a making the bed it is not a problem (even with a 2" piece of memory foam). I'm right at 6 feet and fit. As far as drawers in the night stand - yep one would be nice, but until now I never really thought of it.

RE: what do yall do?

I guess none of ya'll keep your trailer at a storage lot? I do and take my battery home with me. This way I can throw it on a charger the night before and it does not walk away from the lot. I will say it seems most people have theirs still connected to the trailer - guess I'm just not trusting enough.

Since I have a Propride, just leave it all attached to the trailer and let people wonder what the heck that thing is hanging off my truck.

RE: Jayco 32bhds build time

Congrats on the Jayco .... Mine came with the steep pitch awning, and I absolutely love it. We have the J-cubes also, my kids prefer sleeping on them, say they are more comfortable (that and they can watch a movie while laying down) - The one thing I might suggest is to get some MaxAir covers.
