RE: Trailer length making me wonder

Just get the best hitch you can afford ... you are only as strong as your weakest link ... $30,000+ in front with $25,000+ in back with a budget hitch connecting the two makes no sense to me. I love my propride, its expensive but the piece of mind it gives me is worth it.

RE: ? TX GULF PARK, BOAT & FISHING INFO ?

A good one for fishing is Matagorda Bay Nature Park -- http://www.lcra.org/parks/developed_parks/matagorda.html There is a nice boatramp up the road next to the River Bend restaurant plus you are not far from the Matagorda harbor which has a fantastic fish cleaning area. If first time fishing down here, I advise getting a guide and letting him show you about. A couple of good guides for Matagorda are: Bill Pustejovsky - http://www.matagordabay.com/guides/Pustejovsky.htm Charlie Paradoski - http://www.captcharlieparadoski.com/ Good luck - sounds like a fun trip

RE: Travel Trailer with Outside facing Bathroom door

Have a TT like that... not having my kids track mud and other debris thru the trailer is the reason. I personally think its the next best thing to slice bread.

RE: TT and bigger kids, where to sleep them?

Bunkhouse is the way to go...sleeping in a tent sounds good until you try doing it in when its 85+ degrees at night. I don't care who you are, that's miserable. That and if its raining - never been in a tent that did not leak. We love our Jayco 32BHDS.

RE: Info Needed Heavier TT Pulled by Gassers. No Diesels Please.

1. What's your TV? 2004 GMC 2500HD 4x4 6.0L 4.10 ratio 2. How big/heavy is your TT? 32ft - 9000lbs + 3. Did your TV come with the tow package installed? Yes - including a Transmission temp gauge 4. General comments? Tows fine, you have tp realize that these motors make their horsepower at the higher RPM's -- don't be scared to let it run at 4500+ while going up a steep incline.

RE: camper ratings thread

I do not know where in Texas you live ... but if your close to Houston check out PPL's consignment lot http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/travelt/travel-trailers.htm While I have not purchased from them, I know several people that have and they said they would do it again. I figure that is about as good as reference as you can get.

RE: Make SURE to have a 50-amp to 30-amp adapter!

I use it whenever I stay at a park that is fully packed, seems everybody is on the 30A circuit. Seen it "brown out" at times, while we are fine on the 50A. Have surge/low voltage protection also.

RE: Installed 30A RV recepticle at the homestead

Pulled #10 wire thru today.... thats what I get for listening to the guy at Home Depot. Add another $45 to the total - thanks all for pointing that out.

RE: Installed 30A RV recepticle at the homestead

You spent $150? For what? I put one on a post 50 feet from the house for far less. $30 for the box w/ RV recepticle $40 for the 12g wire $45 for the conduit and fasteners (and other related stuff) $30 for the 30A breaker Had to run it from the back of the house to out front... Darn, I just bought a breaker for under 6 bucks..You got robbed there Actually I got quite a deal on it... forgot to mention it was a GFI breaker also.

Installed 30A RV recepticle at the homestead

Today I spent 5 hours installing a 30A RV recepticle on the house... no more loading the trailer with it being 100+ degrees. For approx. $150 dollars, this was the ticket... I highly recomend for others to do the same.
