RE: Hocking Hills KOA - Logan Ohio Review

For a different view of the water falls come in January when the falls are frozen. Ice columns form below the falls and sometimes reach the drop off point above. A lot of the water is spring fed so the falls get supplied all winter. The ice keeps getting bigger and bigger.

weathershak, Not the only one, the picture in my profile was taken at Assateaque thanksgiving of 2007. We were the only ones in the bull pen that night. I highly recommend it year round!

"Can anyone tell me is there any water flowing? Are there waterfalls this time of the year???"
Yes we have had plenty of rain lately. The leaves have just started to change and its beginning to be "leaf looker season" as us locals call it!:B

assateaque beach report????

Any of the usual suspects want to give a beach report since the hurricanes have come through. How’s the fishing? Got plans for mid to late September. I’m hoping to be there for the meeting!
Thanks in advance.

"A narrow minded, bigoted, curmudgeon, that is... "
“All truck campers are red necks”
No...not quite, but as a I use to have hair down to my @$$, now I’m lucky to have any hair at all, scooter tramp biker, carnivorous, rock n roller, party animal that attended many a van in, open air open admission rock concert, 3 Boy Scout national jamborees, one high adventure base 14 day Maine canoe trip, and many other way out events that I barely remember including several collages that degreed me, individual. I can tell you that there is a very broad array of TC people. Mostly very intense when it comes to there ability to camp (travel) there way! And a few narrow minded, bigoted, curmudgeon as in every corner of society!
BTY, Burning Man is on my to do list!

RE: Road Rage...Chopper vs Motorhome

Sleepy,
I guess I owe you and apology also and to every one else I have offended I offer my apologies.
Further and to the point of you not getting past being called names reread your posts and consider how the dead man would feel about your names for him.
Also MH resorts keep us out because they feel the same way some posters apparently do about (some) bikers, if any of us have to explain (bikers, TCer’s, or what have you) the others most likely won’t understand.
Again, my deepest apologies.

Thanks, 54suds.
I really just wanted to get past this myself. It brought back memories for me only known to people who have been on both sides of the crash.

RE: Road Rage...Chopper vs Motorhome

Nodepositnoreturn "Why am I being called a scum bag T C.?? What did I do to you?"
You did nothing to me, and I was not calling anyone a name. I also appoligise for offending you, it was not my intent. The terms "fellow and brother", also in the phrase and enclosed in parentheses, was to call attition to the TC contingent where this was posted as we too (TC’ers) are somewhat of a minority (some would say outcast) like the (stigma associated with some) bikers. I just happen to be both. Like another said dead is dead, he was a human like all of us. Bone head or not his family will miss him and the people in the MH have to go on with it in their head hence forth and forever more. It’s a bad trip for all concerned.

RE: Road Rage...Chopper vs Motorhome

Many of you are making assumptions based on what you assume to be fact. No one knows what if anything prompted the biker’s reaction to the MH driver and unless you know him personally I doubt you can state his level of education. He could have been cut off, the MH could have been going 55 in a 70 mph zone for 20 miles with out getting over to let traffic get by, or (post your own favorite thing here). As a life long biker and holder of numerous diplomas from higher education institutions I can tell you what he did was not smart by any means but no one should be killed this way. Not all people who ride are what you "assume". I have been run over by a 17 year old girl who was adjusting her radio while talking on the phone and did not see me stop for the person with the leaf blower who had just blown a foot of leaves out on the road. My partner and I sustained life long injuries and did not even get our expenses covered by her state minimum insurance. That could have been anyone of us ( in the MH and many of us on the bike) and I would have felt bad about it regardless. This forum and its users are bigger than the posts I’ve read today!
The facts will be coming out slowly and I hope you all stay tuned. I also hope you find it in yourselves to not jump to conclusions about people based on there mode of transportation or there choice of recreational vehicle (you fellow TC scum bag brothers).

Wow did I miss a lot while camping (boon dock style in a farm field). Must say I was part of the naked tractor square dance this past weekend but would have stayed in the truck stop (where my air card works) if I had know this would get so BIG!

RE: Rest Areas

ginabas,
You have now started to insult the posters on this thread, you are now posting excerpts of others post to bring your twisted view back into reasonable ground, and you appear to have no sense of humor. Like is said this horse is dead!
All others lets keep the Public Lands, Boon docking and Dry Camping alive with communication regarding on topic information and I sincerely hope some more of this humor!
BTY Yes there is humor in this...many are laughing! You appear not to get it!

RE: Rest Areas

chuckster11, Sign us up were on our way. I'll leave the TC at home and bring the 73 Winnebago Chieftain. It’s pristine with only 41K on the clock. You'll know its us cause we have the #1 waving hand on the windshield for the stuck up new camper snobs!
On Edit: Aint this great! This category sometimes doesn’t move for weeks, I’m glad it’s getting some traffic!
