RE: Royal Purple

I have not been able to justify the cost of royal purple either, dont feel bad. I use castrol syntec or mobil 1 synthetic. Still cheaper and its synthetic. On the other hand my work truck does 5,000 miles in a month, never used synthetic in that, last one lasted 300,000 in 3 years, the key is regular maint and you should be fine.

RE: snow load on 5th wheel

A friend of my moms left there 5 er at her place in vermont a few years ago, we got alot of snow, they never once went to remove any of it. In theory the trailer should take the weight of the snow. I let alot of snow pile up on mine before I remove some of it. Personally I do not think it will be a problem.
Good luck

RE: Seeds ???

Thanks guys. I did find one hole where a bundle of wire goes through the floor, I hope thats it. I vacuumed up all there stash. Just made me think because there was no signs of mouse doo anywhere near where the seeds were.
Its dark now, I left everythng out. I will get back out there soon just to look things over. I usually put out dryer sheets and a little mint oil by the tires, But I havent got around to it yet.

Seeds ???

This is a wierd one, I had to go out to the camper the other day, found TP had been attacked, Looked at the towels and confirmed I have a visitor. So not the wierd part. I found out where he had got in, sealed it up, removed everything I could find, vaccumed up. Not much doo doo really. But now the strange part, I looked through the sweat shirts and found seeds all gathered up, open up a drawer, found more seeds tucked in the towels, in the kids bed, more seeds. No sign of doo doo near the seeds, but there are like a thousand lady bugs on the camper. So are these things seeds or little bug shells??

RE: Titanium

Thanks for all the input. I have been on the website a few times but was more interested in real life how they holdin up and do ya like em type comments. And thanks to those too. I would love to move up from a TT to a 5 er. Someday. Just exploring my options. They do look very nice from the outside.
I see they will be at a camping show in Pennsylvania. I would like to go but funds are low this month, so probably not. I am going to keep an eye on possible closer shows they might attend.
Againi thanks for the input from everyone.

RE: Tire question for TT

I agree with the above, I just went from Bias Ply to radials. Took a trip to Canada and had no problem what so ever. Trailer towed better. Not as much sway. I dont see a down side to it. Good luck.....

RE: Are Carlisle's better now?

I just put 4 new e rated carliles on my TT. We just did a 900 mile run to canada and back. No problems. Take care of the tire pressure, check your tires and I think youl be fine. I started looking into all th ehype about tires. I went to the tire shop and the owner is running cheap china tires on his 5th wheel. So go figure.

RE: crossing border

All above is great advise. e just came back form ontario, we crossed with our 32' TT and was asked very simple questions, How long, where going, any fire arms, All questions answered, passports were scanned, and we were on our way. I also have heard horror stories, but wanted to stay in canada. We said the heck with it, what ever happens, happens. Was no problems, Dont let it ruin your plans. If you have nothing to hide, you will be fine.

RE: KOA Lundy Lane

Already home, we used the rainbow bridge, We left at 5 am this morning, no lines. We did do the maid of the mist. We all had a great time. Even did the Sir Adam Beck hydro plant. I work on generators so it was a must. Went to the butterfly observatory. Sent the kids to the indoor pool park and we went off for a few hours. It saved us money in the long run. Thank God they are older now.
Thanks ofr all your replies. The lines were not all that long. It wasnt all that crowded but we had a great time. Even went on a ride yesterday through the countryside. Pretty land up there.
I will get the rest of my pics posted soon.
Safe travels everyone....

RE: KOA Lundy Lane

er crossing was easy, about a 20 min wait in line, passports in hand, no firearms, passed right through. Leaving friday, I saw a huge line on the bridge today, I hope we can avoid that mess friday. A couple from france just pulled in, there on a 2 day stop. Loaned them one of my spare hoses. theres was leaking. Great accent. Park is starting to fill in a little, but still not crowded.

The weather is spposed to get a little better.

RE: jacking instructions for replacing tires

I just replaced all my tires, as stated already, losen the lug nuts, jack up under the spring plate. Best place is between the U bolts. And remove the tire.
Good luck.
