Need some advice---My sat. hook-up(roof mount Winegard) has worked great in the past---it now refuses to send the signal from the roof to the receiver.
I have run a cable from my house(no wheels) dish to the roof connection(motorhome) and the signal comes in at 94 percent. So apparently the cable is OK.
I also took the transponder off the roof and used it on the house set-up and that woorked fine.
Next I tried another transponder(that I knew was good) on the roof mount---still no signal.
Before I give up ---does anyone have a suggestion as to what has happened?

Just a guess, but it sounds like you dont have any power up to your
transponder

Your cable lead to your Antenna is defective, you can have nothing
in between the receiver and the antenna or it will block the voltage
that powers up the low noise block downconvertor. Perhaps if is just
the F connector on one end is not making proper contact...

Take the cable off the LNB on the RV and take a volt meter and put one lead on the center wire and the other on the nut, should see 18 to 20 volts. If not the cable may be open. Put a short cable one on the reciver and do the same test.
