We are going to be staying at the Colonial KOA Campground in Williamsburg, VA next week and we were wondering if anyone has any experience staying there.
Thank you for your time.

Stayed there in 1996 and was pleased. One impression I had was they were strict about the control of pets. Csmpground generally clean and people were pleasant

Have never stayed at the KOA, but did stay at the American Heritage RV park in 2001. Very clean and peaceful. Concrete pads too! Have a great trip.

Stayed there 2002. Not the best KOA I've been in but not the worst. Sorta middle of the road. Off season you usually have your pick of sites. Cost is a little high for what you get, but my experience with the other campgrounds in the area is they are all about the same. You are paying to stay close to everything in WB. Probably a 5 to 5.5 on a rating scale.

Just got back from Williamsburg this weekend. Did not stay at the KOA. We spent 5 days at the Jamestown Beach Campground just about 5 miles outside of Colonial WB. There were about 40 units in there and the campground holds 600. Pretty much your choice of sites.

I do imagine that it could get crowded in the summer.

We stayed there and liked it. The premium sites looked narrow, but the others were fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. You have nothing to worry about.

Middle of the road KOA. Roads are a little narrow in places as well as some of the sites. This park adjoins a sister KOA that is very similar. Stayed at American Heritage last August. Not as crowded, all pull-thrus, clean, and easier to maneuver a large mh thru.

We spent six days there this past July and liked it. Its a nice campground, but be careful of the sloped sites. I saw many trailers with numerous amounts of 2 x6 levelers under the wheels. The shuttle bus to Williamsburg was broke our whole stay, but everything is close enough to drive to. Try Virginia Beach KOA its a nice place if you dont mind the sound of freedom.
