Could I get some of your good advice on who makes a nice toy hauler in the fith wheel design. We haul around a formula car so we need a unit that has a dove tail. Would love to have a slide out (If it's even possable) without pushing it into the garage area. Would also like it to be in the 32' range.
Any ideas?? Or am I dreaming :-)
Thanks,

Weekend Warrior makes a 5er with a beaver tail in the back they call it. Unless you have one custome made, they don't make a 32' 5er with a slide. You don't get a slide until you move up the the 37' and above.

We just bought the Jayco TalonZX. Its a 36 footer (altho from nose to tail it measures 39.5 feet). What we found when looking for toyhaulers was that most of them, even some of the larger more expensive ones (American Adventurer comes to mind), had only 8 x 10 feet of cargo area. What we liked about this one (see my sig for what i do for fun), is that it has an 8 x 12 cargo area. I have to put my race bike, golfcart, canopy, spare wheels/tires, toolbox, ect. in there, and the additional 2 feet of length made ALL the difference in the world.
As for the dovetail, even if you look at one that doesnt have it, a 18" x 7' piece of plywood with a piano hinge works great. Thats what i did to mine.

I run a Tahoe 35' that we hauled a 2001 Corvette in last year. No slide but to get that low car in, I just made some ramp extensions for loading. When we lowered the car halfway throught eh season, I made somw 6" ramps to back the truck up onto and that lowered the back of the trailer even more. Worked slick. Put a 14'9" car into the trailer.

Hello, we looked at all the toy haulers around. Look on rvtraderonline.com and check for prices/plans/sizes. I just looked at one of the new kz new vision ultra sportsmans and it was great. The one that I looked at was a 40 foot triple slide with a 14" seperate toy box. about $39,000 for it, but it was as nice as i've ever seen. Gross was about 18000, empty was bout 12500 or so. Thats a lot of weight/size to drag around. I have a KZ and was looking at upgrading to tow a legends car (low ground clearence, and it looked like it would need ramp extensions on anything that I saw, including the Weekend Warrior, which was also, very nice. KZ makes a 33foot in their sportster line called 33P, and has a superslide, but only a 10 foot box.

Hey FF racer, So Cal FC, Vintage, and Kart racers here.
We just bought an Extreme 38' toy hauler made by Kit. It has 20' of space in the back, and weighs in @ 10,000. It has a dove tail and we had the dealer install a winch under the stairs that go up to the bedroom. It's a really sweet set-up, but we do need to ramp out to get low cars in it. Its really one of the nicer units that we looked at. The "next level" hauler also has a dove tail, and is really, really nice. I wish I had done this WAYYYY sooner....5th wheel is the only way to go :-)
