We used to love to camp and rv in California til about 6 years ago. Every year I would buy a Non-Resident fishing liscense to fish both the Nevada and California areas. 6 years ago, I bought a non resident fishing liscense and was fishing the Walker river in California. Just when I hooked up my line a California Hiway patrolman pulled over to where I was starting to fish. He called me up to him and said, did you realise the river is closed to fishing?. I said, No, because if I did, I would not be fishing it. He told me to wait while he called a Department of fish and game officer. When the officer came, he sited me a 380.00 fine!. Since then I have not bought a California liscense, I have not bought supplies or fuel in California. I also have stopped going to Southern California to do Disneyland, the Dodger Games, and all the touristy things we used to do there. I am miffed about San Franciscos Pro gay policies, refusing to do business with Companies that don't promote their agenda. I am ticked with California's stand against the "Boyscouts".All in all, California is like "another Country". The people have voted to stop giving aid to illegals only to have some panty waist judge take away the peoples vote forcing them to pay tax dollors to aid illegals!!! I have had a personal friend of mine "Murdered" in California by a criminal who murdered another individual. He is now OUT OF PRISON!!!! I refuse to spend one dime in that State!!!Personally, I hope all the Commy libs move there and form their own Country! Where else in the world will a state take away the rights of the "law abiding" by banning guns, but allowing criminals back out on the streets?. Richard Allan Davis is one that comes to mind..What a messed up state!!!But what does one expect when Barbara Boxer, and Feinstien run things?

You are certainly entitled to your opinions. I can't share your boycott since I have family and friens in CA and I have to eat while there and buy gas to get back home.
Just one question; are we the only group to be blessed with your diatribe or have you, for example, written to the San Francisco Chronicle?

No, you are not the only group!Everyone I know, loves California but HATES there B.S... I notice you are in Las Vegas.. Here in Northern Nevada, 8 out of 10 home buyers come here to leave California. But then they try to bring it here!!!If where they came from was so great, then why did they move here???? Las Vegas is why Nevada has Senator Reid.... . Las Vegas is why we have had the Largest Tax increase in Nevada's History! Las Vegas is why the tax increase was passed because of some judges, going against the vote of the people, and against the state constitution!!!Most folks in Las Vegas are California "transplants". They left one place to get away from it, only to bring it with them when they get here! When I moved to Nevada, auto registration was 25.00, sales tax was 3.5 percent, property taxes were low... Now, because of all the Californians moving here and demanding the same services they had, it cost me 410.00 to register my truck, sales tax is 7.5 in Reno, my property taxes are over 2000.00 per year, and on and on...Remember, Senator Reid voted with Bill Clinton on the largest retro active tax increase in history, and Clinton, NOT Bush, is the reason for the loss of jobs in the U.S. .. Clinton did what Regan and Bush could not do... PASS NAFTA and GATT!!!!! That is why jobs are leaving!!! Not Bush!!!

Although I don't agree with MOST (ok, maybe all) of your politics, the fine for fishing may have been a bit much. It certainly is your choice not to enter CA, I must admit one thing. It's already too crowded here, so thanks for staying out.

I was born here in California. I've watched it morf into it's present incarnation, and it certainly wasn't done by those of us who are native born Californians, no matter what age we are/were. This is not an RV issue, it's a political issue.
