24E29 Titanium Fifth Wheel with an extended pin and we are currently towing it with a F350 long bed with a fixed hitch. We want to go to a 6 3/4ft f250 diesel and we are not sure it we need a slinding hitch. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

Tow Vehicle dilema
Looking to buy a new truck and have second thoughts about the new Ford 6.0 diesel. Does anyone know if Ford has straightened out their problems with this engine? Undecided over the 250 or 350. Pulling a Titanium fifth wheel with a dry weight about 8600#s. Thanks in advance for any thoughts anyone might have.
