We are looking for a new motor home. Presently have a '95 Fleetwood Flair. We have been looking at the Georgetown by Forest River. Especially like the 370TS. I would appriciate any comments on this home, both good and bad. Also what to look out for in buying a new home. I bought the Flair used. Thanks for the help

Do a search on this forum for Georgetown. You will find many positive comments. I like mine.....a lot of coach for the money with many features other manufacturers charge extra for.

Linthead loves his Georgetown, and uses it hard, he is a Nascar fan. I helped him winterize it, and was impressed by their attention to details, like color coded water lines, etc. Since he hasn't had any problems i can't speak for their service.

We recently bought the Georgetown 370TS you are referring. We had a 99 Hurricane (Thor)33B prior to the Georgetown. They both had the V10 but the 2004 with the revamp on the horse power. The G.T. is heavier with 3 slides and I do not notice much in the H.P. performance but considering the weight it was needed. The ride on the highway is very good and the side road bumps are acceptable. The unit over all with the slides, 1 1/2 baths, camera, TV's, jacks, artic pac, etc. is like a house when setup on site. The value for the buck is true and they do spent time in areas less likely considered until you need to use it (example: external flush system for holding tanks). I am a little concerned when it comes to winterizing because it is not clear how to add anti-freeze into the supply line but I will try the tech support as the fall approaches. The storage in this unit is great but be careful not to overload and exceed the ratings. We had a lot of things in the past unit and I am amazed how much room is still available in this unit.

The only complaint is the bathrooms do not have enough racks for hanging towels or wash cloths but for $20 and few minutes of deciding were to mount them the problem was solved. Another thing I am beginning to like is the gel coat exterior. The weather has been very wet and with the last unit the black streaks were a constant battle. This unit shines like a car and black streaks are ?. Our problem is trying to get out and use the unit but July and August is showing more promise. Good luck on your search but if you can take a second look at the G.T. XL 370 TS. We did and are happy we did.

I purchased a georgetown in 98. First year they were made. For the price you can't beat them. Have had no problem with mine yet. I have the 454 vortex engine. The interior isn't made of the best material and workmanship but as I said this motorhome has treated me ok.

Bought a new Georgetown in 2002. First trip out, both windshields blew out of frame. Next day chasis air condition quit working. Not much help from Indiania. Limped back to Virginia. I had to find a local truck shop do windshield repairs. Per Forrest River's instructions, they took a piece of angle iron and ran it between the two windshields. Looking good for a coach with less than 4000 miles.
Never could get the right piece for the air conditioner. After many calls to Forest Rivers and the Better Business Bureau, I gave up.
I now own a Holiday Rambler and there is no comparison to the quality of vehicle and manufactor that I now deal with.
Sorry to bend your ear. Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought all the motorhome I could afford when I bought mine...turned out to be a used 2002 Georgetown 346 DS. Previous owner traded up to a diesel. I have had no problems and am happy.

Sure, I can name many nicer motorhomes....but they would require a larger investment than I made. Make no mistake, most of the motorhomes that cost more are on my wish list, but for me it can't be about what I think is best or what I like best, but rather....the best that I can afford or are able to pay for.

Good luck with your decision as you search for value.
