djohnson Go look at the Sunnybrooks. I find them responsive to a a point although lately I have had conversation with one of their people who says "I will get back to you tomorrow and I have to call him if I want to talk with them. I am having a particular problem after 2 years of ownership and this "expert" is supposed to be thinking about the solutions but so far he is stumped and was going to ask "someone else who has been there longer", so much for the expert. I do find Sunnybrook units well made and plenty of storage space, their most popular unit is the 31 BWFS and BWKS. I am not crazy about kitchen slides or rear kitchens but some people buy them.

Your comments and support to this forum about Cedar Creek has influence more than only ten people. I know that I switched because of your support of CC. By the way I am happy with mine so far, thanks for directing me to CC.

What you are dealing with is the norm of the RV industry. My Carriage was in the shop for three weeks awaiting the replacement of a leaky Skylight that was cracked. With a three week notice they still had to order the skylight after getting the unit in the shop. The they messed up my landing gear while in the shop had to wait replacement parts for it. The dealer and the manufacturer took turns blaming each other for the delay. Just a fact of life when owning an RV that requires any attention.

It is really a shame when you have to get the factory involved when the dealer should be taking care of the problems. It is to bad that problems happen but the dealer should take care of them. The dealers agree to this when they agree to sell the product. You do not go to Black and Decker or General Motors factories for warranty work. The way Mrs. Mik has been treated is terrible and I hope a resolution is in the works. As for myself the dealer and the factory bent over backwards for us when we had our trailer made handicap accessible and we have not had any major issues since we have had our trailer. I will buy another Cedar Creek and I will buy it from the same dealer that I bought the one that I own now from. The dealers and a good product make for a good company.

Does your dealer NOT have another Cedar Creek on the lot that he can cannibalize. If the dealer has any guts, they would take the parts off of a rig waiting to be sold and fix your coach. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to come up with a cure for your problems. Take the sink out of another unit and put it in yours. Get the speakers from ANY stereo shop and install them...PROPERLY. Send the bill to Forest River. Make the dealer get behind you.

Mrs.Mik and all who have read these posts, I know that it may never happen but with so many dealers and manufactures backlogged with inventory up the KAZOO something has got to happen . As long as we the RV consumer continue to allow poor quality and service these problems will continue. The auto industry is not perfect by any means but if they built and serviced their units as the RV people do most of us would not spend the money that we do on cars and trucks .(THERE ARE JUST TOO MANY RV ,MFG., DEALERS ) that is a fact ,and most don't really care what happens after the sale.
THE CARROTMAN Just one other note RV.NET has a lot of influence out there , we must be heard to get the changes that must come about otherwise ,often we will get poor quality, Thank you.

I also feel for your problem, I hate to see people bashing Cedar Creek for their Dealers fault. Now I am not sticking up for Cedar Creek they also need to get a handle on their dealers. As stated by Readytotravel, Cedar Creek manufactures trailers just like GM manufactures cars. When you have a problem with your car you take it back to the dealer and get it fixed and sometimes you are happy and sometimes not. You can not take your car back to GM and get it fixed because they are not in the warranty business but the manufacturing business.

The same goes with Cedar Creek they have their Dealers do the warranty work because they are in the MFG business. Now you can call GM and complain about your car and you also may call Cedar Creek and complain about the dealer and Cedar Creek should and I feel does have an obligation to there customers to see that this issue is resolved.

I hope you did try and contact Cedar Creek if not I would do so ASAP. Do not take the word of your dealer that Cedar Creek is holding up this issue call Cedar Creek and talk to them personally.

I wish you all the best with your problem and feel Cedar Creek will do there best to resolve this issue for you.

I also have had my Cedar Creek 36RLTS for over two years now and have not had any problems. I have over 37,000 towing miles on some rough roads all over the USA and have been living in my Cedar Creek and find it very comfortable and dependable.

I know personally that Cedar Creek has and does bend over backwards to please their Cedar Creek owners. I also know for a fact they have taken care of things that were out of warranty that is above and beyond the call of duty.

I feel for your problem and hope it gets resolved, however just had to point out that I think 99.9 percent of your problem is with your dealer and not Cedar Creek.

Have a good day, and remember Life is to short to spend it all in one place!!

Just so folks know -- this is NOT a dealer problem. When the coach came in and we realized the problems, it was agreed between US, the DEALER and CEDAR CREEK that the factory would fix our coach when we were at the Cedar Creek National Rally. These are fixes that the FACTORY agreed to do in one day while we were there. At the time, the subwoofer and speaker problem was something that Cedar Creek claimed they had to fix and was not something the dealer could do. Seeing as that was the case, we also agreed to have the factory replace the sink.

Instead of sending our coach back, having them fix it and return it six weeks or more later, we agreed to BRING IT TO THEM, which allowed us to use the coach, stock it, etc., etc., etc. This not only saved Cedar Creek money (in transport costs), but allowed us to use the coach.

We were told that our sink would be at the factory on Saturday and that they would immediately ship it to our dealer. The FACTORY has not done that -- that makes it a FACTORY problem, NOT a dealer problem.

Don't get me wrong -- we really do LOVE our Cedar Creek. We think it's a beautiful coach, and for the most part, everything on it is perfect. What bothers me is that we have been treated this way when it comes to things Craig Claire and the factory promised to fix. We are not asking for any special or any special treatment. I just want my coach fixed the way it was supposed to be in the first place.

Glad people take the time to post the problems associated with the companies they come in contact with...

We nearly bought a Jayco... had issues.

Found a cedar creek we liked, but I questioned some of the details, and didn't like the response from the salesperson "Ya most of these things we have to re-build out back, sure wish the factory did a better job".

Haven't bought a trailer yet... thanks again to those pointing out the landmines!

Hope Cedar Creek gets to the bottom of your rig and makes it right.

I agree with Julie. This is an exception to the rule that the Dealer is responsible for repairs. In this case, the FACTORY made a direct commitment to Julie that THEY would make the repair. They did not repair the problems. At this point, the DEALER needs to be all over Cedar Creek...like flies on s*%# (sink).

I hope someone has forwarded a link to this thread to Doretta at the Cedar Creek plant.

Julie, please keep us updated on your progress.

We LOVE our Cedar Creek...but Julie has gotten a raw deal.
