I put an awning rail on both sides of my Palomino B-1200 and bought a 7' bag awning that I switch depending on campsite position.I used this system last year without any problem. Just be sure to mount the awning rail screwed into solid framing. This year I changed out the rear drip rail with a drip-awning rail combination,the 7' awning will go to the rear and I've purchased an 8' to go on either side, I have yet to have the rig out yet to try it. good luck

Viking;
I had a bag awning on my old Shadow Cruiser Pop-Up, it's no problem. Hell they put them on pop-up trailers. Find a better versed dealer. Best of Luck,

I put mine on the top. Set it out before you crank up. or I used to carry a two step and use it to reach it if I cranked up first. It's not as easy as a box awning but it's not bad either. Phil

Viken: I put the awning rail on the pop up part in line with the clearance lights.The end of the rail starts 2"in front of the rear side light I wanted to keep the awning rail close to the pop up supports. Never had a problem with being too high. You just have a steeper angle on the awning. My camper is equiped with a stablelift system so unless we are only stopping for one night the camper comes off the truck.{2002 ford 250 4wd LB}.
