It works lousy IMHO on black streaks. After seeing a TT this weekend cleaned with that stuff, I couldn't wait to pick up some and try it out. Followed the directions as printed and it barely removes stains not to mention the sponge cuts/shreds too easily. Simple Green outperforms it by far. I don't know why Mr. Clean doesn't want to work on my grey/black streaks. That TT I saw was so clean I was astonished when the owner told me it was 2 yrs. old. I thought it was only 1-2 months, if that!

Am I doing something wrong or have others too, had mixed results with it?

Simple Green works great and it sprays quite a distance to get to the streaks at the top that you can reach without a ladder. With a long handled brush...clean as a whistle!

I had minimal luck w/ it on black streaks. It works great on just about everything else though.

I love the Magic Erasers and I am always finding new places they excel at cleaning. Typically semi-porous or textured surfaces. I have not tried cleaning black streaks with it. I can tell you that the surface you are cleaning affects your results just as much as the dirt you're cleaning with this product.

I know on glass, smooth counter tops, marble, etc, it seems to just push dirt around and leaves a film. But put it to work on paint where everyone turns light switches on and off, dogs rub the walls, on a textured white refridgerator handle, in your vehicle on your door grab handles where dirt and oil from your hands accumulate in the texturing, or sometimes on the steering wheel... I think that is where you'll see it shine.

The only use I have found is walls and tub surrounds. They crumble pretty easy though. I must scrub to hard.

I used it on the black streaks that developed on the exposed part of my rolled up awning and they had been there for over a year. Eraser may not be great for everything but it sure cleaned my awning up.

Does it work for the DAY/NIGHT shades that are fabric? If not what do you use to clean those babies. Give me metal venitian blinds any day for cleaning ease.

Hi folks, Be carefull what you use these Magic Erasers on. I had some paint overspray on my eyeglasses and used an eraser to remove it. Scratched them badly (over $200) to replace them. This product is about like 2000 grit sand paper and could badly damage the wrong materials. Try a SMALL spot first and look for dulling of the surface.
Good luck and happy camping, marly
