We purchased our 2004 29GS about a month ago. So far we have had it out twice and have discovered the following issues:
1. One windows does not properly fit in the flame and will not close. Probably will need to be replaced.
2. The thermostat does not do a good job of regulating the temperature in the RV. It is the standard cheap mechanical type. After reading some of the threads in the Tech Issues forum, I have decided to replace the thermostat with a $20.00 digital thermostat. (If you search on thermostat you will find several posts with links on how to change the thermostat out)
3. The hot water heater intermittently does not heat in the electric mode. It heats up, but then quits reheating the water after about a days operation. In propane mode it works fine.
4. I get very little airflow out of the heat duct in the bedroom. Probable something is either obstucting the flow or the flex venting has come loose.
5. The A&E awning does not completely close on one side. Likely just an adjustment.
6. The plastic housing around the 30 AMP cord is loose. Easy fix I am sure.
I consider all of these items minor in nature and am confident that my dealer/Keystone will take care of the repairs. The big problem is that my dealer's service department is swamped and I can't get an appointment for 3 weeks. I guess it is just a busy time. Keystone did offer to send me too one of several other keystone dealers in my area, but I have decided to wait to get into the dealer I purchased from.
There are a couple of minor things I would change were I Keystone:
1. The landing gear switch is on the outside of the trailer and is not a key switch. Some one could walk up and retract or extend the landing gear simply by operating the switch. Seems the switch should be in a locked compartment or be a key switch. I will be installing a key switch.
2. The awning placement was not well thought out. The 29GS has a small kitchen slide for the pantry and refrigerator. The awning is installed over the top of this slide, making it necessary to retract the slide to extend the awning. (It is kinda nice that when the awning is out it keeps rain and debis off of the slide.) The front end of the awning is very close to the door and interferes with its operation. When the awning is out I can not fully open the door to put it in the latch to keep it from blowing around. I can if I take the leg off of the side of the traile and stand it up straight. I don't usually operate the awning in this way.
3. The cargo door on the front side of the unit under the bedroom will not open when I am hooked up to the hitch. This means I can't store many of the things I would like to put in there, such as leveling blocks, my wood pads for the landing gear, and wheel choks. While I like the large door, were it a couple inches smaller in height I would open all the way.
It might sound as if I am a bit down on my Laredo. That is really not the case. I was fully aware of the three changes I mentioned above before buying the fifth-wheel. To me they certainly weren't show stoppers, and as I said above the warranty items are all of a minor nature.
All in all I think Keystone builds a great product in their Laredo line. Were I buying again I would buy a Laredo!!!

We have a 2004 29GR. I think that all RV's are the total of the components in them. RV manufacturers are really just assemblers of components. A high price should indicate quality components a low price undoubtedly indicated cheap components. My larado has many cheap components and the assembly was not done very well. They slap them together send them to the dealer to put them right. If you are lucky enough to find a good dealer close to home you should do OK. Otherwise good luck.

We pick up our new 29BH Saturday, I'll let you know how it goes! I can tell you that we did find a few minor issues on the initial insprection:
-Loose or broken drawers in the Bunk area wardrobe.
-Missing window screen on the slide.
-Misaligned cabinet door(does not stay shut) on bathroom sink.
Once we take delivery and go on a shake down trip, we'll know more. We've been looking for 5 months and I have to admit, there were quality issues that were easily visable, on every brand we looked at. Some worse than others. For us it came down to the the best overall layout for our needs, the best visiable quality for the money and the dealership. We happen to be in the same town as our dealer, which does give us some added comfort. Good luck in your search.

Thanks for replying back, it help knowing others experiences on a particular trailer. I got a new Duramax pickup a few months ago and my Hornet trailer is too light, my truck needs a work out.
Is $33,000 about right on price? Seems a bit steep for the level of fifth wheel.

We've had our '03 27RK for a year, now, and have been quite pleased with it. We've had only a couple of very minor problems: (1)The shower frame had a small leak; a dab of silacone glue fixed it. (2)One of the LP supply tubes was defective and wouldn't let gas through; the dealer replaced that promptly.
All of the appliances have worked properly and everything seems to be well put togther. I think Laredo makes a good product and I know I have a really good dealer. Mine must have been made in the middle of the week!

We have a 2004 29BH and we love it. We too looked for a longggg time and kept coming back to the Laredo. We have 5 kids with more planned in the future and it can sleep a ton of kids! We have made some changes to it such as adding surrond sound (with subwoofer) 12v stereo, etc so when you are ready for some minor upgrades, let me know. Make sure the dealer you are looking to buy from is a good one. A PDI of the dealer and his shop is almost as important as the coach PDI!!!

We bought ours in March and are very happy with our choice BUT, if you have enough tow vehicle I'd opt for the Mountaineer 318BH. Has a slide in the master BR, more room and nicer appliances for roughly 5K more. Only drawback is that it weighs roughly 9500# dry vs 7800# dry for the Laredo.
And BTW, $33000 is way TOO much! We paid $23100 for ours and the dealer we bought from has a Mountaineer for $29000.
