MSN Messenger - Yahoo Instant Messenger - AOL Instant Messenger -
all are separate products independent of IE.

I have had all 3 going - plus IE 6.0 and NS 7.1 - at the same time, no problems.

Wouldn't be easier to run one program that connects to all those services at the same time? Using a program like Jabber?

For mac users you can use jabber or the much better Fire and talk across
aol, msn, yahoo, ICQ, IRC, Yahoo messenger all at the same time, using ONE program.

I have down loaded fire fox and i like it, i also use netscape, and yes they look about the same, i wish i could deleat IE with out harming XP, i HATE IE and all the bugs and the attacks that it gets, also the lack of a pop up blocker in IE sent me to NS and FF. i also found FF is easy to use, and i am glad it dont take up much room on the HD (5Mg) where IE is over 27Mg

I just hate ppl that give "Sarcastic Answers"

Microsoft said today that IE users don't care about tabbed browsing, is that true?

They also said it's just as secure as any other browser.LOL I can't believe they said that with a straight face..LOL

When I had McAfee Security suite I found out how invasive IE is.. McAfee
uses Active-X scripts in their products and when I set my internet zone security to high it rang bells all over the place. There was not way to put McAfee anything in my Trusted Zone so it would give me two popups every time I accessed McAfee's control panel.

Am of the opinion that any app that uses Active-X scripts is accessing modules in IE. Bummer.

Fired up Foxfire and it wouldn't work had to go and reset the connections proxy settings to auto detect and then it worked fine. It seems faster but I am on cable dsl and it is fast anyway so it doesn't make much difference to me. I like the hiding favorite menu in IE in full screen that FF doesn't have though.
