NO wind chimes, Dislike them at home sure aint going to have them at a campsite.
I have lights of all kinds....
I like TACKY... I have racecars and checkered flags, I have Halloween pumkin heads, I have Halloween black spiders, I have American Flags, I have lots of rope lights.. I have red, white& blue, I have clear, red, blue, green and I can line my whole campsite with them or just around my tacky green plastic grass....
We have no screen/patio room for under awning, but we do have a 10X20 carport cover with sides for the bad weather camping trips. and I do also have a 10X10 EZ-up for over the picnic table.
Tacky as I can be, must a be a redneck southern thing,

Lil Trucker --- Perhaps you missed the IMHO (that stands for "in my humble opinion"), to which we are all entitled. Something of substance needs to be contributed? Oh, yes, like YOUR post!!! LOL

Ditto on wind chimes; too noisy. But I am considering rope lights on the awning because I thought they would be less obtrusive and still provide some light for safety.
About screenrooms, everything I've read says the one that attaches to the awning is a real pain to put up.
I'll vote for the tacy rope lights!

no wind chimes. We camp to get away from noise and clutter.
no awning so no awning light. When we had an awning we never used it so it wasn't a priority when we bought another RV. If we're outside we're around a campfire and don't want to burn a campfire close to the RV or under an awning.
no rope lights. Campfire works pretty good for us.
no screened room. Again, campfire works pretty good. If I was tenting I might want a seperate screened room but not for fifth wheeling.

I like the wind chimes they are nice in the evening
We have Flag lights
We are looking into a screened room. We currently have a "Wingdeck" that is just marvelous.
We have little things we stick in the dirt, we have wind socks we hang around and we have a Globe light that hangs from the awning and has "Welcome" in big letters.
IMHO If you don't like my site, don't drink my beer....LOL L

Quote: We don't have, but I would not mind a small, quieter windchime. No windchime, especially a loud one, would be appealing at night.
We use awning lights that are sort of translucent balls, about 6" in diameter across the front of the awning. For those that like the Coke bottle, plastic RV's, dogs, or chinese lantern style, that's ok with me too.
Don't have a screened room or anything like it. Considered it for about 5 minutes one time then moved on.
I am assuming that "tacky" means that the person or item is percieved to be lacking in good breeding, lacking in style or in poor taste, or marked by cheap showiness or gaudiness.
As for what is tacky and what is not, it seems odd that any group such as RV'ers that ride around in oversized houses on wheels with full body paint and garish color graphics down the sides would have such a refined sense of taste so as to be offended at any of the above. :-)
boomtown,

WOW ,harsh!
Tacky to me is when someone sees my cooler come out of the camper and they come over , drink all my beer, then go home.
