The max fifth wheel tow weight rating for the above truck is 15400# with a single rear wheel. The GCWR is 23000# for truck and trailer combo. The GCWR for the trailer is 13860#. The gross amount for the truck alone is 10000#. Dry weight of th trailer is approx 11830#.

Does anyone see any issue with my weight here?

thanks

The GCWR, even at max weight of the trailer is within limits.
With the heavy pin weights, the rear axle is usually where the limits are exceeded. Weigh the truck axles, look on the door for the GAWR rear, then add the pin weight for a rough estimate?
Some of the weight will go to the front axle, not sure how much. I am not a fiver guy, so this is all just info from a year of reading posts.

I have heard of many being over one of the specs on the F250.
Hey, we want photos of that new Creek in your sig soon?
Well, time for bed, I have to be up in an hour.

Bruce your truck will pull the trailer with no problems. You didn't give the pin weight of the 5th wheel. That could make a big
difference. The truck should be about 7,500 LBS with you in it. That would leave you with about 2,500 LBS for pin weight and people in the truck. You might have to keep the load light in the front of your 5th wheel to stay within 10,000 LBS. My 33 RLTS Cedar Creek is
about the max I could pull and stay within the weight rating for the truck. My truck has a 9,200 LBS weight rating. What model Cedar Creek do you have?

Good luck dmax27

Bruce 2500-1860=660LBS for you and your family in the truck and some of the load in the front of the 5th wheel. I'm sure other people will read this and it will start a weight rating war! You should be fine but you might want to install rear air bags to give you better handling over the bridge joints. They take the bounce out of the back end. Good luck with the Cedar Creek we love ours and have been very happy with it!!

"nbfaulkner", you should be ok with that setup.

Look at my sig and you will see what I'm pulling. However, I will admit I'm over GVWR on the truck by 200 lbs. loaded.

My truck loaded with fuel and wife and me is 7,020 lbs. and the pin weight of my cedar creek is 1,980 (book says 1,870 which is why you should weigh). Unloaded RV weight is actually 11,500 but book says 10,910. Do you see where I'm coming from. Please weigh it on a test pull if you can..

I'm good on my Rear & Front Axles which was my major concerns but I did test pull the RV and weighed it before I purchased it just to make sure that I like the way it pulls.

As the other poster stated, you need to know the Rear Axle rating on your truck just to make sure. I'm guessing that the new 2005 models have a little more axle rating than mine which is 6,084 lbs.

Let me know what the axle rating is and I can tell you if your axle will be safe which I'm sure it will..

I thought that only the F350 has a GCWR of 23,000, and that high of towing capacity, but maybe the F250 does also. Why not get the F350 for about $1,000 more and have a GVWR of 11,400 then you will not have any overloading issues.

I think you will find that you actual pin weight will be a lot more than what you are stating. That is really light for a 36 foot 5er. You will have the most trouble with that 10K GVWR for the truck. Go for the F350 SRW and you will not have to worry about it. Chris
