If you use Windows XP here is an easy way to resize your photo.
Using Windows XP to resize your photos.

If You do not see the resize pictures you can download it from Microsoft, look on the right and scroll down to "Image Resizer", down load it and install.XP Power Toys
Below is an example of how to do it easily.

Now that is a very useful post (that took you awhile to compose!). Thank you! Speaking as a "computer dummy", I am sure this will help a lot of people understand the process.

You must have a lot of time on your hands. I need help with the garden. Willing to travel? Really, thanks, but I think I comply now. At least I hope so, if not, I will just delete it.

robsouth,
Yes, I do have way too much time on my hands, but there is hope!!
The company I retired from is trying to put me back to work temporarily with an offer that I can't refuse, so I may be out of your hair, at least for a while.
Those picture topics did consume some of my time, now, start that tiller, lay out the garden tools, put something in the refrigerator to get cool, I'm on my way.

The 17.3kb is ok but the pixel size can not be more than 100 high and 500 wide like this.

use this if you wish.

Thanks RVF!
It is also good that we do not have to upload pics to a hosting site. Big step forward!
