This is our third 5th. wheel in three years. Started out just wanting a light 5er., because we, at that time, had a Chevy 2500 6.0 gas truck. We got the Chevy 2500 duramax/allison in June of last year we realized we wanted to go all the way and get the 5th. wheel we REALLY wanted. After looking at a lot of 5th. wheels in the price range we were willing to spend, the Palomino Sabre gave us the biggest bang for the buck. We could have easily spent $30,000 more and gotten a heaver rig but with very few more options than the Sabre has. We don't intend to full time so the Sabre was the one for us. We are very satisfied with our purchase of the Sabre. My only regret when we first started out was not going ahead and buying a diesel truck. It is SOmuch more relaxing and enjoyable to tow a 5th. wheel with a diesel. The Chevy 2500HD Duramax/Allison is one sweet truck.

I'm rather new to RVing in general but my wife and I decided several moths ago we should give it a try. So last night we took the plunge and bought a 2008 Chevy 3500 DMAX and a Montana 34' 5er. We are really looking for ward to heading out. I'll post a couple of photo once I have then home.
