We got a Rhomba for Christmas. That thing looks like it's a toy but it's anything but. I can't believe how much it picks up EVEN after running the regular vacuum. Our house is half tile and half carpet. Doesn't seem to care which it is. The only problem it has is with a couple of throw rugs on the tile but it can pull away from it when it catches a corner and can't go further. Off to Cosco to see if they have any more tomorrow for one for upstairs. As soon as our three cats hear it, they head for it and then to high ground wherever it is and watch it. They are not scared of it, just want to be sure they know where it is.
Thanks to those that posted here about them.

I got a Roomba for Christmas too I have finally gotten to the point where I no longer watch it clean and I go on to other things while it is running. In the beginning we all would watch it do it's job. Both of our dogs are now used to seeing it move all over the kitchen and family room floor and now ignore it. I too am amazed on how much stuff it picks up. When we build our house in the desert we will then buy one for each room

I got mine last year for Christmas. We named it Rosie, after the robot on the Jetson's. Under my bed has never been this clean. My pets use to run from it but now they don't even bother openning their eye to see where it is.

What a great idea. Has anyone tried them in their RV , if so do they work well there?

How is it with pet hair? Right now we have hard wood floors throughout the house and only a large sectional rug in the living room and dining room. However, I found that with pet hair, some vacuum's just don't pick it effectively.

I have a cat and a dog and it is amazing how much pet hair it picks up. Just remember that you need to clean the brushes out occassionally.

Wife has had hers for some time now. She tried it in the MH and it works just as well there as in the house. They also came out with an upgrade to the brushes. The newer brushes are suppose to pick up pet hair better. They do seam to work even better.

Are dogs never let the Rhomba bother them.

Wait until you try the scooba (sp?), it does our kitchen floor in about 45 minutes.
