Well, we ran our a/c with our Honda for the first time last weekend. It worked great. It was about 82 degf outside. Once the inside got down to about 74 degf, the generator ran/cycled for about 5-6 hrs on one fill up. It ran fine in econo mode.
While away on vacation this summer a tornado took our the power in the campground so I thought I would try the eu2000 to see if it would run the 15,000 btu AC on our Mobile Suites. Shut down everything else and put the water heater and fridge on gas and shut off the econo mode. Ran the fan first and then switched over to AC and it worked just fine. Put out 123 volts while in operation. Ran it for around 4 hours when the power came back on.
I just got the Honda 2000, I bought it on ebay and had it shipped to me here in Ontario Canada, saved me $700.00 CDN , could not believe that , but that is why I bought it from them online.
Anyway, I hooked it up to our TC and with our brand new Polar Cub AC on high cool, it worked fine, ran everything, heck I even let it run for about 4 hours ( DW thought I was kinda nuts though ) and it worked just great, I did NOT have it on econo mode though, but will try it this weekend.
Been running ours on the TC for the 5 years since 2002. Works great and uses very little fuel. Takes a while (depending on outside temp, wind, and humidity etc) to cool down all the wood/inside contents but once cool it cycles quite infrequently. Best generator I've ever seen and the quietest too.

But once the A/C compressor started cycling how many times did its internal CB trip and then automatically reset before the compressor actually started up?

How do you know if the compressor even cycled on in all that time?
wwest, are you saying the compressor motor has a thermal self-resetting breaker built into it? It would seem that the cycle time should be sufficient enough that pressure would bleed off and the compressor wouldn't stall (thermal out).
