For all of you Honda owners. I have a question. I am thinking of buying a honda genny just for the silence involved. I have an onboard microlite that runs my AC just fine. After looking at the serial# on my A/C unit and looking on the web I believe it is the 7100 btu model. Will the Honda run this AC unit.

Thanks

I have a 9000 BTU unit that works great with a Honda Eu2000i. Haven't ran it in the Mountains though.

I'm also able to charge my boats 2 bank battery charger at the same time as long as the camper batter charger isn't pulling any amps. My point being, I think you'll be surprise at how much more the 2000 will run on top of your A/C.

My air conditioner is a 9000 BTU Polar Cub. When I went to go pick up the camper in Denver at the end of last year I brought my Honda 2000 just to make sure it would run the a/c and it worked just fine. Dave.

My EU2000 runs my 9000 BTU AC with power of spare. Power to spare does NOT include the microwave, toaster oven, or hair drier.

My (2) Honda EU 2000i's run my 13.5k A/C in econo mode and steps up to higher RPM when I also add in the microwave. More than enough with both running in combo.

I have the 7100 Doemtic Brisk Air on my EC 950, and my Honda 2000 runs it in econo mode. I usually turn the AC unit on w/the Honda in regular mode, wait 30 seconds until after the AC compressor starts, then hit the econo mode switch on the Honda. I've tested this up to 3000 feet elevation. Happy Camping!
