I opted for the 2800i cause it's lighter then the Honda or Yamaha 3000 but more wattage then the Honda 2000 or the Yamaha 2400. Paid $1200.00 free shipping, at Wise sales in Illinois. Rather than upsizeing the generator, consider downsizing the AC to a Polar Cub. Cost will be in the same range. Since you already have an AC unit the wiring is done. The only hard part about the swap is getting the new unit up on the roof and the old unit down. The actual installation part of the job is very easy. I upped to the Yamaha 2400 and it works for me but if I had it to do again, I'd go to the smaller AC and a Honda 2000 because the Honda is half the size and weight of the Yamaha and the Polar Cub is plenty to cool the small space of a camper. That's why the Yamaha 2800s deem like such a good deal... Ya don't get something for nuttin!
