Is anyone using a roomba to clean your floors?
Our dog sheds terribly so a friend recommended this little robot that runs around and cleans your floor even when your not home. well I brought it to FL with us to help keep the sand and dog hair to a minimum and it works very well in the MH.
I know it sounds lazy but it's so easy to start "Robbi" and let him clean while we get our exercise walking the dog.

Yep, we have a Roomba Discovery. Other than the fact that it traps itself now and then, it works great. I can run the big Hoover vacuum, then start Roomba and it gets even more dirt out of the carpet.
Cleaning the brushes can be a pain, but other than that it works great. We are glad we bought it.
This is our second one, the first one had a failure in the brush drive, and they sent us a new one, no questions asked. The programming developed a hiccup, and they sent a plug-in reprogramming chip that cleared the problem in five minutes. We had to send the chip back, of course. EXCELLENT customer service, IMO

Yes wife just got a new updated one. I got the old one to use in the garage. When we had the class A. Wife would take the robot with to help keep floor clean.

My wife just got a Roomba and she loves the darn thing, it goes under the bed, under the sofa, under my recliner, I had my doubts but it's the darnest thing you ever seen. It has problems with throw rugs sometimes wants to go under them and hide.

I've had mine for 2 years now. We call it Rosie after the robot maid on the Jetsons. It's great for cleaning under the beds, no more dust bunnies.

Gave DD one for Christmas 2 years ago. She named it Robbie and she LOVES it. She uses it mostly in the kitchen to get up the dog hairs as this is a job she hates. It goes round and round and does its thing and then takes itself home to recharge. neat!!!
She calls it the best gift in years.

hi,
we have one too. we have six cats and a lab, it does a pretty good job keeping up with the day to day hair balls. We still have to do a weekly vacumn, but helps in between.
the only issue we have had is having one of the darling cats step on the unit in the middle of the night and start it up. At three in the morning the thing sounds like a bull dozer on the hardwood floors

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but do they have any suction or is it more like a sweeper?
The new house in Vegas is all tile flooring. Other half thought the IRobot would be good to keep the dust off the floors. For those who have one, does it work equally well on carpet or hard surface flooring such as tile or wood? We do have carpet in all the bedrooms.
