Yesterday Camano Island was hammered by frigid 40 MPH winds, sleet and snow in the foothills and I am in 75 degree Indio, Calif feeling guilty as I read these posts. We need a smiley with a guilt look!

What a bunch of whiners!! Here in NH it is 18 degrees, the snow is up to our expectations, the Skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and snowmobiling are all superb, and we're having a ball. I'm about to get on my backcountry skis and head out into the wilds for a couple of hours. I'll check back here later and I expect to hear from some of those hardy souls who find much to revel about in winter.
As for the rest of you pathetic snow escapees, Thanks for leaving it all to us

I am tired of winter, but for the last couple days temps have been in the 50's. Might even go see the RV dealer about the Dometic recall and get that taken care of before April. Some of the mountains around here have 300 inches of snow.

Hey, Ted, are you and Cheryl thinking about going to the Mid-Atlantic rally in Va in April? We enjoyed your stories of outdoor experiences when we spoke at the NE rally last spring in VT. I love the winter months. Time for long, stenuous hikes through the woods around here. Also, time to hunt. In line with your interests, my older son is planning to run a snowshoe ultra marathon in March in Vt. That ought to be interesting! It's a shame so many people overlook the oportunities that are there in the winter. You've gotta get out there!

Leigh, oh yeah, sorry. And the snow is turning brown and ugly already.
John, Can't make the VA rally but will be at the Spring rally in VT for at least part of the time.
And the skiing today was, um, really bad, all powdery and white, an stuck on the trees so it made them look gross.
