I am aware it is required in B.C. It's a different story in Ontario. RV trailers are exempt from license requisite. Not sure about other provinces, but I think it's just B.C.

Don't need it in Alberta either. Just a class 5.. If you have air brakes though you have to have your air certificate.

i kind of looked at motor vehicle branches in different provinces and Sask you need a class 3 for anything over 4540kg, MANITOBA over 4600kg you need a 1, 2,or 3, ALBERTA 2axle rv class 5, 3 or more axles need class 3. ontario you need a class G licence. this is from motor vehicle branches from each province.

In Saskatchewan you need a 1G endorsement to your class five licence if your fiver weighs more than 4600 kg. I checked it out and it seems that there is a written test and a road test required.

This has been discussed before. You are NOT exempt from having a special license in Ontario. Your Class G license is valid for towing up to 4,600 kg (10,000 pounds) and says so right on the back of it. There is however no RV endorsement here - you're supposed to have a Class A (commercial) license to tow over 4,600 kg even if you're not a commercial operator. At least the regs were changed last year so you no longer have to maintain a daily log book. The MOT conducted blitzes last summer and fall near my house but (luckily for most) limited their inspections to those rigs that were very clearly over 4,600 kg - 5th wheels with 3 slides and / or 3 axles.

Not required in Quebec. Class 5 is good for a TV or motorhome upto 4500 kg. Over that is a different class licence.
