Is it possible to travel(Class A W/toad) the Garden State Parkway from Atlantic City to the Tapanzee Bridge? Or are Rv's restricted on the parkway?
Thanks

We have taken GS Parkway all the way to NY State for a visit to Catskill Ranch, driving a Class A Pace w/ a Dodge caravan in tow. Got on at Toms River. The restriction is for commercial vehicles.

We travel the Garden State Parkway all the time. Cost $.50 for a motorhome. When we travel with the toad, it cost $.70. For EACH toll booth! Most of the cash lanes are on the far right side but that is not a given - they have changed several around lately.

RobtS,
We have traveled the Garden State Parkway with our coach and toad. Be careful at some toll booths as there is not a lot of room. You will see that some of the booths on the righthand side force you to pull ahead to another booth and then the lane makes a left turn that can be difficult for a long vehicle to negotiate. You mentioned the Tapanzee, IMO if going to New England, it is a nicer ride taking 87 North to the Newburg/Beacon bridge and cross there.

On the northern stretch there are several overpasses that post "low clearance on right" Be aware to watch out for these and move to center lane when approaching. Some are less than 11' on curb. Yes, the toll booths are narrow, stay to right when you can. I do have a few nicks in the mirrow from clipping a toll booth or two.
Other than that it is a good ride.

We use the Garden State Parkway all the time... live 5 min from one of the exits. Toll booths can be narrow, some lanes are marked for wider loads. Don't have EZPass, but I still make it through. Good luch and have fun

Just a note of interest. On the Garden State Parkway they cannot handle an MH with a toad with EZPass. The other roads that take EZPass can handle a motorhome and toad, but not on the Garden State Parkway.
