Would you like to see the speed limit reduced to 55 for the summer to help reduce fuel cost?

I did not present it correctly, post in the 55MPH yes if you would agree to go back to 55 for the summer.

Post in the 55 MPH No if you would not.

Well you can go 55 just stay in the right lane. I would prefer the option depending on were I need to be and when.

Fuel costs for who? If you can afford to drive 65 then by all means you should be free to do so. Don't need the federal government imposing more into our lives.

I don't understand why when something is wrong , someone want someone else to assume reponsiblity. We need to take our own actions and do what write, and I think this country would do fine without gov. or state interferance. JMHO...LOL

If I drive 55 to save fuel it ought to be my choice not a mandate by a bunch of schmucks who don't live where I do. The mandate idea is just so wrong on so many levels.

On the flip side, when and if I am driving 55 with the trailer in tow I will use slow moving vehicle lanes and turnouts so those who want to go faster can pass safely. Please let me do my own thing at my own speed.

Studies have proven time and again that artificially imposed speed limits do not work. They just become excuses for law enforcement to ticket people driving at speeds at which they feel safe and comfortable. Speed limits should be based on sound traffic engineering studies and data, not political expediency or minority opinion. If u want to drive slow, feel free, just do not drive slower than the Min speed.

In Illinois the speed limit is 55 for all TV pulling a trailer. This speed limit is for most if not all trucks where the weight is over 4 tons. Even if you are pulling a Pop Up ,this 55 limit applies to you, in most areas.
