Does anyone have a suggestion for a CG between Memphis and Nashville for an overnight stay.

I have a suggestion NOT to use. The Buffalo KOA:
- had several sites that were not very level
- turns at the ends to the roads that were very tight
- seemed to have amplified sound of the trucks running all night on I-40. We've stayed at other CGs along major Interstateslike the former KOA in Arkedelphia, AR where the noise was no where that bad.

The staff was friendly and helpful but, IMHO, it is just a lousy location.

Natchez Trace State Park, Exit 116. Used to stay there alot, but haven't been lately. The campground is on a lake and looked pretty good to me when I drove through there last year.

I've been looking for one myself. There's Whispering Pines around exit 76 or so - it's okay for an overnighter, but the sites aren't dead level and it's kind of junky around the perimeter with permanent residents. The electric power was shaky on one of the sites we stayed at.

Parker's Crossroads around exit 108 had a very unfavorable review on RVparkreviews.com, so we didn't even try that one.

There's a KOA on the Arkansas side of Memphis we stayed at recently - we liked it quite well. It's around MM 14 on I-55 north of Memphis. PM me if you're interested.

We have stayed at Natchez Trace State Park. It is nice but 15 miles off the interstate. Maybe too far for an overnight spot. Hope you get more replies as we are looking in that area also.

I'm not sure if you meant "midway" between Memphis and Nashville, or just something between those two points, but you might look at Audubon Point RV Park which is about 5 miles south of Memphis on I-55. We've stayed there several times enroute south and north, and it's beautifully designed and maintained. All the sites are pull-thrus and they are all paved with wide enough access for the biggest rig out there. The showers and restrooms are the cleanest and most spacious I've seen anywhere, and the sites all have full hook up with cable and wireless internet. It's only a couple of years old.

I'm going to spend next Wednesday night at Joy-O RV Park just a few miles west of Jackson, TN. The review looked OK for an overnight. I called the park and the lady that answered was very helpful. She said there was a convenience store and 24 hour restaurant within walking distance plus a truck stop at that exit that sold diesel.

I'd like to know what you think of that place, if you can post about it later. Also, I'm curious if that diesel is Ultra Low Sulphur.

I'll take a couple of pictures and post them when I get back from my trip which will be around the middle of July. I'll check on the ULS diesel for you also.
